There are many weapons that you can make use of in Palworld and as your character gains more levels, they can start to unlock different ones.
One of the weapons that got the attention of players is the Beamsword, which works similarly to the Katana but practically deals more damage.
This advanced weapon allows your character to dash into a fight and attack enemies up close and may even be used to either fight or move around quickly.
How To Unlock and Craft Beamsword?
Upon reaching Level 57, the Beam Sword may be unlocked from your Technology Menu but this means that you will have to progress a bit first.
Once the Beam Sword has been unlocked, you may craft it at a Weapon Assembly Line or better weapon crafting structures.
The following materials are required to craft a Beamsword:
- 30 Hexolite
- 100 Paldium Fragment
- 5 Ancient Civilization Parts
Beamsword Features
The Beamsword and the Katana are very similar and the only difference appears to be the amount of damage that is dealt to enemies that are hit at the end of the swing.
Once the Beamsword is equipped, attacking will cause your character to perform a quick windup before dashing forward to unleash a circular slash.
This weapon has a base attack of 2,000 and any enemies caught within the range of the circular slash at the end of the dash will take damage.
While the Beamsword doesn’t allow you to perform quick combos when attacking, its dash can be utilized to travel a good distance.
Once you get the hang of unleashing the forward dash and slash, the Beamsword can be utilized to close the distance with targets and this can be quite advantageous.

Currently, the Beamsword does not appear to have any schematics, which means you will only be able to craft an Uncommon one for now.
Verdict
What the Beamsword lacks when it comes to continuous damage, it makes up for with a high base attack, and this scales with your character Attack Stat.
When it comes to continuous attacks some may consider choosing the Meowmere or Sword a better choice for a melee weapon but the Beamsword still has its uses.
The Beamsword is an upgraded and better-looking version of the Katana and might be a good choice for those who have gained a liking to the weapon.
