How to Start Culmination of Ambition?
Culmination of Ambition becomes available after completing all three demon-binding assignments given to you by Hattar during Disciple of the Forbidden.
You must complete the following quests before you can begin:
- Warlock: The Insatiable Hunter – Bind Laalish.
- Warlock: Belly of the Beast – Bind Ae’grom.
- Warlock: Fang and Flame – Bind Abodian.
Once you have captured all three demons, return to the Heretic’s Sanctum in the Dry Steppes to begin the final stage of your training.
Culmination of Ambition Quest Walkthrough
Travel to the Heretic’s Sanctum and enter the dungeon, where your next objective is to locate Hattar inside the Summoning Chamber.
Follow the marked route through the Sanctum, defeating any enemies along the way until you reach the chamber where your former instructor awaits.
Speak with Hattar to progress the quest, revealing his true intentions and triggering a confrontation that leads into the final encounter.
You must defeat Hattar and his demonic followers, including the Hate Priest Scion, before progressing to the next stage of the fight.
After Hattar has been defeated, Valloch reveals his true demonic form, becoming the final enemy you must overcome to complete your training.
Defeat Valloch and interact with the Altar of Demonic Binding to bind him, completing Culmination of Ambition and the Warlock’s class questline.
How to Defeat Hattar and Valloch?
The final encounter requires you to defeat Hattar before confronting Valloch, so make sure your defensive abilities are available for both stages of the fight.
Focus on eliminating any additional enemies that interfere with your attacks while continuing to deal damage to Hattar whenever you have an opening.
Once Valloch appears, keep moving to avoid his attacks and reposition whenever necessary rather than remaining stationary throughout the encounter.
Continue attacking until Valloch is defeated, then approach the Altar of Demonic Binding to complete the final ritual.
Culmination of Ambition Quest Rewards
Completing Culmination of Ambition unlocks the Warlock’s Soul Shard system, allowing you to use the four demons bound throughout the class questline.
