Belly of the Beast is one of the three demon-binding quests available during the Warlock’s class questline, sending you into the Dry Steppes to hunt down Ae’grom.
Unlike the other assignments from Hattar, this quest requires you to complete a blood ritual before you can enter the demon’s hiding place.

How to Start Belly of the Beast?
The Belly of the Beast quest becomes available after completing Warlock: Disciple of the Forbidden, where Hattar gives you a Binding Stone and tasks you with hunting three demons.
Travel to the Brackish Pans in the Dry Steppes and follow the quest marker to the ritual site, where you can begin the search for Ae’grom.
You can complete Belly of the Beast alongside the other two assignments, The Insatiable Hunter and Fang and Flame, without following a particular order.
Belly of the Beast Quest Walkthrough
Head to the marked location in the Brackish Pans, where you will find a ritual site containing a large pentagram and several braziers.
Interact with Valloch to begin the ritual, which requires you to trace the pentagram by following a specific route between its five points.
Start at the upper-left brazier and follow the blood trail around the pentagram, visiting each point in sequence before returning to the first brazier.
Completing the ritual opens the entrance to the Hellwyrm’s Entrails, allowing you to continue your search for Ae’grom.
Enter the Hellwyrm’s Entrails and fight through the enemies inside while searching for the passage leading deeper into the dungeon.
Continue exploring until you reach Ae’grom’s lair, where you must perform another ritual before the demon can be confronted.
Collect the Sacrificial Dagger and use it to sacrifice Valloch, summoning Ae’grom and beginning the final encounter.
Defeat Ae’grom, then interact with the Altar of Demonic Binding to bind the demon and complete Belly of the Beast.
How to Fix the Pentagram Ritual?
The pentagram ritual can sometimes become stuck, preventing you from tracing the blood trail even after interacting with Valloch.
If the entire pentagram is already visible before you begin tracing it, the ritual may not progress correctly, leaving you unable to open the Hellwyrm’s Entrails.
Players have reported resolving this by disabling cross-platform play or changing the game’s difficulty before returning to the ritual site, although neither workaround is guaranteed.
Belly of the Beast Quest Rewards
Completing Belly of the Beast allows you to bind Ae’grom, one of the three demons Hattar requires you to capture during your Warlock training.
If you have not already completed them, you can continue with The Insatiable Hunter and Fang and Flame to obtain the remaining demons.
Binding all three allows you to progress to the final part of the Warlock class questline, which ultimately unlocks the Soul Shards class mechanic.
