Diablo 4: (Season 13) Lair Boss Loot Tables

Challenging Lair Bosses is an important part of Diablo 4’s endgame and can reward players with valuable loot depending on which boss they choose to farm.

Defeating a Lair Boss and using the appropriate Lair Key to open its hoard is one of the best ways to obtain Unique Equipment that can help improve and refine your builds.

While drop tables may change from season to season, most Unique Items are tied to specific bosses, making them worth targeting when farming for particular gear.

Exalted Lair Bosses

Belial

Belial’s Hoard functions differently from other Exalted Lair Boss rewards, allowing you to choose a specific boss loot table when claiming your rewards.

This makes it easier to target farm certain Unique Items, as you can select the boss associated with the gear that you are looking for.

Available Loot Table Choices:

  • Varshan
  • Grigoire
  • Beast in the Ice
  • Lord Zir
  • The Butcher
  • Urivar
  • Duriel
  • Andariel
  • Harbinger of Hatred

How To Obtain Loot From Lair Bosses?

Defeating a Lair Boss will cause a Hoard to appear, which can be opened to claim rewards from that boss’s drop table.

Initiate Lair Bosses require Lair Keys to open their Hoards, while Greater Lair Bosses require Greater Lair Keys and Belial’s Hoard requires Betrayer’s Husks instead.

While bosses can be challenged without keys, failing to open their Hoards means missing out on the majority of the rewards.

Verdict

Lair Boss rewards are tied to preparation, requiring both a successful kill and the appropriate keys to access the Hoard.

Defeating a boss without opening its Hoard results in minimal rewards, making proper key management an important part of efficient farming.

Most Unique Items remain tied to specific bosses, ensuring that targeted farming continues to be a meaningful and rewarding endgame activity.
