Whispering Wood is a type of item that was introduced in the Season of Witchcraft, which provides access to the new Roothold dungeons that were added in the season.
Obtaining Whispering Woods (Some refer to these as Whispering Wood Sigils) can be a bit tricky at first but progressing through the season will often have you obtaining them eventually.
During the Season of Witchcraft, obtaining and using Whispering Wood is one of the main things that you will want to be doing to get your hands on tons of rewards.
How To Farm Whispering Wood (Rootholds Key)?
Farming Whispering Wood can be done in different ways and there are 3 known ways to obtain them throughout the season.
1) Silent Chests
Silent Chests are one of the easiest ways for you to get Whispering Wood as there are several of these that can be found in Headhunt Zones, Helltide Zone and other locations.
Opening a Silent Chest has a good chance of providing you with Whispering Wood and has additional loot for you to pick up.
You will need a Whispering Key in order to open a Silent Chest and these can be purchased from a Purveyor of Curiosities for 10 Murmuring Obols.
2) Whisper Caches
One of the most common ways to obtain Whispering Wood is by opening Whisper Caches that you can get from the Tree of Whispers or the Raven of the Tree.
Obtaining 10 Grim Favors by completing Whispers will allow you to obtain the rewards from the Tree of Whispers or the Raven of the Tree in Headhunt Zones.
3) Season Journey Caches
Claiming rewards from the Season Journey Chapters is a great way to get valuable items as you progress through the season and Whispering Wood is one of the items you can get.
If you check the Season Journey Caches, you will find that opening them provides you with Whispering Keys, which is another term for Whispering Wood.
How To Use Whispering Wood Sigils?
To use a Whispering Wood Sigil, all you need to do is open your inventory go to the Dungeon Keys section, and select the one you want to use.
Once the Whispering Wood has been used, a Roothold will open on your map, and you can teleport straight to the dungeon.
Verdict
Whispering Wood Sigils can often be obtained within a few minutes, especially if you focus on sticking within the Headhunt Zones.
Following the course of completing Whispers while searching the Headhunt Zones for Silent Chests is a good way to hit two birds with one stone.
Collecting several Whispering Wood Sigils can be done in advance before doing several Rootholds or you can use them as soon as you find them.
