To maximize the rewards that you get from Lord Zir, you will need to open his Hoard Chest, and this requires that you have a certain amount of Exquisite Blood on you.
Exquisite Blood used to be a Boss Summoning Item needed to spawn Lord Zir but now, it acts as the key to unlocking his Hoard Chest to grab tons of loot after defeating him.
How To Get Exquisite Blood?
Unlike the other Initiate Lair Boss Keys, Exquisite Blood can be obtained by completing other activities such as defeating World Bosses and Legion Events.
Another good way to obtain Exquisite Blood would be in the Helltide areas, mainly by defeating Blood Maidens and if you have the Tribute of Titans, you can also opt for the Kurast Undercity activity.
Additionally, you may sometimes obtain Exquisite Blood by opening Tree of Whispers Caches or even get them through Mercenary Bartering at The Den.
Exquisite Blood Uses
Exquisite Blood used to be a Boss Summoning Material for Lord Zir but it has now been changed into a Lair Boss Key used to open Lord Zir’s Hoard.
A total of 12 Exquisite Blood is required to open Lord Zir’s Hoard, which will provide you with a ton of loot that may include some items from the following drop table:

Defeating Lord Zir may sometimes be a challenge even if you are geared up because he still has powerful attacks that can kill you with a single hit, so be prepared and don’t forget to dodge.
While Lord Zir may drop a few items when defeated, the real loot comes from his Hoard Cache, and this makes it important to have enough Exquisite Blood (at least 12) to make the most of your run.
