Lord Zir is a boss that was introduced in Diablo 4’s Season of Blood and is now a recurring boss that you can challenge every season to obtain rewards from.
This boss resides in The Apotheosis with the Ancient’s Seat and may be challenged and defeated to gain access to a Hoard Chest that contains valuable loot.
While Lord Zir is among the list of the Initiate Lair Bosses, he is not an enemy to be taken lightly as he can be very deadly if you are not prepared for the fight.
Lord Zir Location (The Darkened Way – Ancient’s Seat)
Lord Zir can be found in the Ancient’s Seat but to reach this dungeon, you will need to head to The Darkened Way, which can be found in Gale Valley within the Fractured Peaks region.
Once you have entered The Darkened Way, you will be able to find the Ancient’s Seat and will eventually be able to head to the altar that can be used to summon Lord Zir.
Summoning and Defeating Lord Zir
Make your way to the Apotheosis and interact with the Bloodied Altar Lord Zir will appear but he will stay for a bit, and this will give you a bit of time to attack him.
Once the fight begins, he will use different attacks, which include hitting you with both of his arms with blades of blood, which deal a lot of damage. (Dash to avoid this)
Lord Zir has the habit of creating puddles of blood around the area and you should avoid staying in these as they continuously drain your health.
Eventually, as you continue to fight, Lord Zir will begin to spawn minions and will tend to leap into the air from time to time as well as use his wings to push you around.
One of the most annoying things about Lord Zir is that he creates orbs of blood that can follow you and deal damage while also spawning blood projectiles that go in random directions.
The key to defeating Lord Zir is to avoid all his attacks while getting hits until you completely deplete all his health. (You can also stun him from time to time)

Verdict
Lord Zir may be slow most of the time but if you get caught off guard, this can sometimes result in your instant death when he uses some of his attacks.
Most of Lord Zir’s attacks are predictable and if you use attacks that deal more damage when there are more targets, you can time them right when he summons minions.
Making good use of your movement skills and evading are important for avoiding Lord Zir’s attacks and when executed at the right time, fighting this boss becomes easy.
