Diablo 4: How To Become The Butcher (Season 12)

The Butcher has been a horrifying enemy that has plagued wanderers for a long time, surprising them in dungeons and other locations, resulting in tough fights or quick deaths.

In Diablo 4’s Season of Slaughter, you get the chance to turn the tide and become The Butcher to wreak havoc on the enemies of Sanctuary.

This allows you to go on a killing spree, destroying all enemies in your path as you collect Fresh Meat from your victims throughout the season.

How to Play As The Butcher?

There are multiple ways to become The Butcher, which is introduced to players when they first start in Season 12 as they complete the Seasonal Quest called A Taste of Power.

1) Slaughterhouse Activities

If you are familiar with Nightmare Dungeons, there are certain sigils that you may obtain that allow you to complete a whole run as The Butcher.

This activity is simply known as Slaughterhouse, which was introduced in Season 12 (Season of Slaughter) and serves as a quick session where you slay several enemies.

This can be started using a Slaughterhouse Sigil, which often drops from enemies, and the goal here is to defeat as many enemies as possible within the given amount of time before slaying the bosses.

Completing this activity results in you obtaining several Fresh Meat, and at the end, you get random Bloodied Items, often which are high quality.

2) Shrine of Slaughter

Interacting with a Shrine of Slaughter will transform you into The Butcher for a certain duration, and these can be found in areas affected by the Helltide.

This allows you to roam around as The Butcher while you slaughter demons that are unlucky enough to get in your way.

Slaying multiple enemies will allow you to boost your Kill Streak as well as farm tons of Fresh Meat to use later when trading with Kael Rills (The Butcher) in Gea Kul.

As you take on the form of The Butcher, the Helltide will be similar to how it functions, just as if you were regularly fighting your way through it, allowing you to get loot and Aberrant Cinder.

Verdict

Whether through Slaughterhouse runs or Shrines of Slaughter during Helltides, this feature provides a fast-paced way to eliminate enemies while gathering Fresh Meat and valuable rewards.

The mechanic blends power fantasy with efficient farming, making it a worthwhile seasonal activity for players looking to clear large groups of enemies quickly.
