The Horadric Cube was introduced in the Lord of Hatred update as a core crafting system that allows players to transmute, modify, and upgrade items using a wide range of materials.
Once obtained, it becomes a key crafting system in Temis, allowing players to modify gear, reroll stats, and convert items into new forms for progression.
It significantly expands crafting options, turning unwanted loot and collected resources into meaningful upgrades across both leveling and endgame progression.
How To Unlock The Horadric Cube?
The Horadric Cube is unlocked by completing the quest “The Fools,” which is part of the Lord of Hatred campaign for players who have not yet finished the expansion storyline.
Once completed, the Horadric Cube becomes available after a short concluding cutscene that introduces the system to players who have reached this part for the first time.
Players who have already finished the Lord of Hatred campaign on previous characters will automatically have it unlocked when starting a new character, without needing to repeat the quest.
Horadric Cube Location
The Horadric Cube is in Temis and may be accessed by those who have purchased the Lord of Hatred expansion, as well as if they have progressed with the campaign.
You may find the Horadric Cube to the east of the Temis waypoint, making it easy to access after teleporting to this location.
How To Use Horadric Cube?
The Horadric Cube works like other crafting features in Diablo 4, which simply requires you to have the items listed in a recipe that you have selected.
Place the items required in the Horadric Cube, which has up to 12 slots, and this is enough for crafting any of the recipes available.
Once all the required items have been placed, select transmute and claim the new item that you have created from the cube.

Verdict
The Horadric Cube adds a strong layer of depth to Diablo 4’s crafting system, giving players far more control over how their gear is upgraded and refined.
While it requires materials and some understanding of its recipes, the payoff is worth it for players looking to fine-tune builds or optimize powerful items.
Once unlocked in Temis, it remains a long-term progression tool and one of the most consistently useful systems for improving gear throughout leveling and endgame play.
