You previously made your way to Kurast where Eru was caught up in a meeting, which you eventually joined after meeting a woman named Huhari.
The Council has approved of your search for Ah Bulan but the path to finding him won’t be so easy as he may not want to be found.
You have recently made it to the entrance to the Kurast Undercity and will begin your search for Ah Bulan there.
How To Get Fundament of Faith Quest?
You will be able to start the Fundament of Faith Quest after completing a quest called Madman, Crowned, which leads you to the entrance to the Kurast Undercity.
It is here that you will begin your search for Ah Bulan in hopes of finding him to help Neyrelle with her condition.
Fundament of Faith Objectives
- Search the Kurast Sewers for clues about Ah Bulan
- Slay Awoken Dead
- Speak with Maka
- Speak with Ormus in the Council Chambers
Fundament of Faith Walkthrough
The quest begins with you outside the Kurast Undercity entrance, which you will enter and wind up in the Ancient Aqueducts.
Proceed with fighting your way through the area until you reach the Forgotten Chamber, where you will interact with the Ancient Mosaic on the floor.
This will allow you to interact with a Piece of Mosaic nearby that you will need to bring back to complete the puzzle but picking it up causes enemies to appear.
Amongst these enemies is a boss called Awoken Dead, who you will now need to defeat before you may proceed.
After you have slain Awoken Dead, you will need to speak with Maka before making your way back to the Council Chambers.
A portal will open up leading to the Kurast Reaches and you can make it to the Council Chambers quickly as it won’t be too far. (You will speak to Ormus about what you found)
Once you make it back to the Council Chambers and have spoken to Ormus, the quest will come to an end here.
Fundament of Faith Rewards
Completing the Fundament of Faith will reward you with XP and Gold along with a new quest called Darkening Clouds. (Chapter 3 of the Vessel of Hatred)
Another reward that you get for completing Fundament of Faith is a Kurast Armory Cache (Grand Cache) that rewards you with Runes and Armor.
Additionally, you will now have unlocked Runewords, which is a new way to provide your equipment with powerful abilities.
Verdict
Exploring the Kurast Underscity leads to quite the discovery but everything is far from over and you still need to search for Ah Bulan.
Maka and Eru have gone ahead and will meet you along the way since you had to stop by the Council Chambers to report to Ormus.
Now that the path is much clearer, you will continue with Maka and Eru and search for Ah Bulan before it is too late for Neyrelle.
