The Den Mother is a large boss that appears to be an overgrown werewolf that you can encounter in some of the dungeons of Sanctuary.
This boss will attack you with melee attacks and will often summon Prowlers to aid her when her health has dropped to a certain point.
She also has a trick up her sleeve, which is to disappear from time to time and stalk you, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Den Mother Location
There are 3 dungeons where Den Mother may be fought as a final boss to get certain Aspects along with loot and these are the following:
- Aldurwood (The Shrouded Moors, Scosglen)
- Light’s Watch (Dobrev Taiga, Fractured Peaks)
Den Mother Fight (Attacks)
The Den Mother will relentlessly chase after you throughout the whole fight and attack you whenever she has a chance to do so.
When things begin to get dicey for her, she will call for backup and will resort to surprise attacks to take you down.
1) Multiple Swipes
The Den Mother attacks you with several swipes, dealing a large amount of damage to you if you don’t move out of the way.
2) Blood Slam
Repeatedly slamming the ground, the Den Mother causes what appear to be pools of blood that will deal damage over time.
3) Vanish
Similar to the Rogue’s Concealment Skill, the Den Mother vanishes and stalks around the area before releasing one of her attacks.
4) Heavy Swing
The Den Mother charges up to perform a heavy swing, which deals a considerable amount of damage and staggers you.
5) Summon Prowlers
The Den Mother summons Prowlers to assist her in the fight, which may be killed and have a chance to drop Healing Potions.
Den Mother Strategy
The Den Mother will attempt to come at you with everything she has from the start to the finish of the fight and it is best that you stay on the move when regenerating your resource.
If you have skills that can stun her, you can continuously use these until she becomes stunned (watch the bar under her health as this stuns her when filled) so you can free-hit her.
Whenever the Den Mother vanishes, it is best to be prepared to evade or continuously move around until she reappears to unleash her skills.
You can outrun her by evading now and then when she attacks and will need to continuously attack her during her vulnerable times to avoid taking damage.
The Den Mother is most vulnerable when she is charging up for a heavy attack, summoning prowlers, or slamming the ground to make blood pools.
Den Mother Drops
The Den Mother is likely to drop around 1 to 3 items that will have rarities depending on your level along with a certain amount of Gold.
Depending on what dungeon you complete, the following Aspects can be unlocked by defeating the Den Mother:
- Aldurwood (Aspect of Reanimation)
- Aspect of Conflagration (Light’s Watch)
