You and Shyan were able to analyze the demon’s head back at her hideout and caught a glimpse of the Sword of Horazon.
Shyan became even more curious about this relic and has decided to seek the help of an old ally who is supposed to be at a library in Caldeum.
You are to meet up with Shyan and seek out a man named Alafar to find out what he knows about the Sword of Horazon at the Imperial Library.
How To Get Blood on Parchment Quest?
Blood on Parchment is the 4th quest from the Season of Infernal Chaos and is unlocked once you have gained enough Viz-Jaq’taar Veneration after the Repeatable Quest.
This unlocks after reaching Rank 6 with Viz-Jaq’taar Veneration Rank.
Blood on Parchment Quest Walkthrough
Upon the start of the quest, you will need to travel to the Imperial Library, where Shyan will be waiting for you.
After speaking to her, the two of you will fight your way through the Residential District until you reach the entrance to Alafar’s Sanctum.
Speak to Shyan once more, and the two of you may then enter the sanctum to begin your search for Alafar within.
Once you are inside Alafar’s Sanctum, fight your way through the enemies inside until you eventually reach his study.
Continue making your way inside, and it will be revealed that demons have already arrived and killed Alafar, leaving you to fight them off.
Interact with the book near Alafar’s body before speaking to Shyan, and she will leave after a short cutscene as she heads off to study the book more. (Quest Ends Here)
Blood on Parchment Seasonal Quest Rewards
Once Blood on Parchment has been completed, you will receive XP, Gold, and an Archetype Cache that should provide you with plenty of items for a build related to your character.
In addition to this, you will be able to proceed to the next quest in the Seasonal Questline provided that you have reached the required Viz-Jaq’taar Rank.
Verdict
Shyan’s plan to seek help for Alafar after realizing the Sword of Horazon had some importance has failed, and another life has been lost.
She does not intend to give up, though, and thanks to the book that Alafar had with him, you and Shyan have your next clue.
Shyan has gone ahead to Mount Civo where the book has pointed the two of you, and perhaps soon you will be able to find Bartuc.
