Crowd Control has a lot of benefits in the game, making enemies easier to target, chase and kill once they are affected by different ailments.
With Aspect of the Umbral though, you can restore your Primary Resource whenever you Crowd Control enemies, which makes it easier to fight groups of enemies.
Being able to replenish your Primary Resource while fighting enemies as well as Crowd Control them can be a huge advantage in almost any fight.
Aspect of the Umbral Effects (Primary Resource Aspect)
Aspect of the Umbral provides you with the ability to restore your Primary Resource when you Crowd Control enemies.
This includes slowing them, immobilizing, stunning knockback, taunting, and more if it prevents enemies from functioning properly.
Whenever you Crowd Control an enemy, you restore your Primary Resource and this triggers for each enemy that is affected.
Aspect of the Umbral Location
Aspect of the Umbral can be obtained by completing the Champion’s Demise Dungeon, which can be found to the east of Jirandai in the Untamed Scarps. (Dry Steppes)
How To Get Aspect of the Umbral (Champion’s Demise Walkthrough)
1) Return the Stone Carving to the Pedestal
You will find yourself in the Cairn Downfall and will need to search for 3 Stone Carvings, which each need to be brought to the Pedestals.
There will be 3 Pedestals in total and a Stone Carving for each of them spread out through the large area filled with monsters.
2) Slay the Cairn Defiler
After you have placed the Stone Carvings in their respective Pedestals, you will need to slay the Cairn Defilers that appear. (There will be 2 of them)
3) Travel to the Eater of Stones
Once the Cairn Defilers have been dealt with, you will need to proceed to a path that was previously blocked and continue heading through the area.
4) Defeat the Khazra Abomination
Upon reaching the Eater of Stones (location), you will encounter a Khazra Abomination and will need to slay it to obtain the rewards.
Verdict
Aspect of the Umbral is great for characters or builds that can continuously apply crowd control to enemies.
This can be with the use of skills or different attacks and may be best utilized when you can hit multiple enemies to restore even more of your Primary Resource.
While this may not appear to be one of the most needed Aspects during the earlier parts of the game, this becomes vital when you face numerous enemies at higher levels.
