After fighting your way through the Hollow and obtaining a boon from the Spirit of Akarat, Eru is more confident about searching for Neyrelle.
The two of you need to make use of the light that has been given to you and open up a path that will bring you to the Durance of Hate.

A Flickering Light Walkthrough
After obtaining the protection provided by the Spirit of Akarat, you are to meet Eru near Travincal where the two of you will continue your journey.
Once you speak with Eru, he will lead you to an entrance that may be taken to enter Travincal but he will need to perform a ritual first.
You will need to protect Eru while he is performing a ritual, which requires you to defeat all the enemies that come until none are left.
After the ritual is complete, you will need to closely follow Eru to make sure that you are protected and fight back against the enemies that attack.
Upon reaching your destination, Eru will begin another ritual and you will need to defend him against the enemies that appear.
An Ancient Brazier will now be lit but there will be 3 more that you have to interact with to spread its light and once this is done, you may regroup with Eru and speak with him. (Quest ends here)
A Flickering Light Rewards
XP and Gold will be gained once A Flickering Light is complete and a new quest called The Heart of All Rot will begin.
The way into the Durance of Hate will now be unlocked, allowing you and Eru to continue searching within for Neyrelle.
