Writ: Misguided Vengeance is one of the Vengeance Quests that needs to be completed once you have reached Quest Step 4 of Act 3: Crossed Blades.
The goal is to fool Xivu Arath into thinking that Savathun has turned against her, which all begins with you hunting down her sister’s Lucent Hive.
After collecting runes from Savathun’s forces, you will slaughter Xivu Arath’s forces and leave the runes to make it seem like a betrayal has happened.
How To Get Misguided Vengeance Quest?
Upon reaching Quest Step 4 of Act III: Crossed Blades, you will be able to choose among 6 Vengeance Quests, including Writ: Misguided Vengeance.
Misguided Vengeance Quest Steps
Step 1: Defeat Lucent Hive Guardians or Lucent Hive on Savathun’s Throne World using Solar and Arc Light
You will need to head to Savathun’s Throne World to hunt down her Lucent Hive forces and defeat them with Solar or Arc damage to collect their runes.
While slaying Hive anywhere will sometimes yield runes, you will be able to progress faster by defeating Hive on Savathun’s Throne World.
A total of 100 of Savathun’s Runes need to be obtained.
Step 2: Defeat Xivu Arath’s elite Hive anywhere in the system to mark their deaths with Savathun’s rune
Now that you have obtained the runes from Savathun’s Lucent Hive, you will need to hunt down Elite Hive enemies anywhere in the system.
It mentions that you can progress faster on Earth, so we went to the Moon and did the Altars of Darkness activity as this made quick work of this Quest Step.
A total of 100 Hive needs to be defeated. (Stronger enemies provide more progress)
Step 3: Debrief at the Shaping Slab in the Last City
After setting up the sisters against each other, you may now head back to the Shaping Slab in Eris Morn’s Apartment to complete the quest.
Writ: Misguided Vengeance Quest Rewards
Returning to the Shaping Slab after planting the runes on Xivu Arath’s forces will result in you obtaining the following rewards:
- Seasonal Gear (Common)
- Sigil Shards
- Essence of Desire
Verdict
Savathun and Xivu Arath will both be vulnerable to the confusion that you have caused, and this is enough to buy Eris Morn time to fabricate her plans.
While you have tricked Xivu Arath into thinking Savathun has made a move against her, the same will also be done for her sister to ensure they split their forces.
Thanks to your efforts, Eris Morn will be able to come up with the next steps that you will be taking up in Act III: Crossed Blades.
