Micah-10 tells you about a Lost Ghost named Dejana, who was last seen in the European Dead Zone (EDZ) before contact with her was lost.
Dejana was previously making an investigation in the EDZ related to Taken activity in the area but has turned up missing.
You will need to head over to the EDZ and search for traces of Dejana, which should lead you to find the Lost Ghost, who is most likely in need of assistance.
How To Get The Shadows?
The Shadows is one of the quests that you can obtain from Micah-10 after you have recently spoken with her during the Destined Heroes Exotic Quest.
Along with two other quests (The Return and The Hellmouth), this quest will already be unlocked and may be completed to unlock more.
The Shadows Quest Steps
Step 1: Search for Ghost telemetry in strike “Lake of Shadows” in the EDZ
The last known location of Dejana was in the EDZ and you will need to complete the Lake of Shadows Strike to find the Ghost telemetry.
The Ghost telemetry may later be found once you have progressed to the boss area, which is where you will be facing Gor’ath Gath.
You will find it at the very end of the area where you fight the boss on what appear to be the remains of large statue hands.

Step 2: Search EDZ for Dejana
The Ghost telemetry has allowed you to locate Dejana and you will be starting in The Sludge, where you will make your way north.
You will eventually reach the Dark Forest, and this is where you will find a large hand reaching out and underneath it will be Dejana.

Step 3: Return to the Arbor of Light in the Pale Heart to restore the lost Ghost
Dejana needs to be brought back to the Arbor of Light and once you arrive, you will need to restore the Lost Ghost before reporting back to Micah.

Step 4: Return to the Arbor of Light to discuss next steps
With Dejana brought back and restored, you may now proceed to Micah’s Conduit to report to hear and complete the quest.

The Shadows Rewards
Once you have returned to the Arbor of Light and have taken care of Dejana, speaking to Micah-10 will allow you to complete the quest and receive First Ascent Gauntlets.
The First Ascent Gauntlets will be different for each class and may be higher than your current gear if you have just started.
Summary
With the final shape now inhabiting Earth, this means that things are worse than everyone expected, and time is running out.
By continuing what you are doing, there is a better chance that the Traveler will recover as every drop counts now.
