The fight with The Witness resulted in the Vanguard retreating but now everyone has joined together to face a common threat.
Ghost explained that it is time to join together and rally your allies to weaken The Witness to sever his hold on The Traveler.
To do this, you will need to go through certain steps to prepare the Vanguard and its allies to finally put a stop to The Witness.
How To Get Destined Heroes Quest?
Destined Heroes is an Exotic Quest that you obtain while you are progressing with The Final Shape main quest.
This Exotic Quest becomes available once you have progressed to quest step 29, which involves you rallying your allies.
Destined Heroes Quest Steps
Step 1: There’s a strange radio transmission coming from the old Tower in the Lost City… and it’s using a Hive frequency
The Vanguard radio frequency that you and your allies are using is being overridden and it looks like the Hive is broadcasting.
You will need to head over to the radio at camp and interact with it to hear what is being broadcasted to find out who is disrupting your comms.

Step 2: Investigate the activity of Savathun’s Lucent Hive near the portal
Savathun has made her appearance but it is unknown what her intentions are and how she fits into everything that is happening.
You will need to investigate to find out what she has planned to avoid the Vanguard getting caught unprepared.
This requires you to start the “Queen’s Part I” activity, where you will be put through certain tests by Savathun.

Step 3: Speak to Micah-10 through her conduit in the Arbor of Light
A legendary Guardian and old friend of Cayde-6 has contacted you and you will need to head over to the Arbor of Light to contact her.
Make your way to the conduit in the Arbor of Light and interact with it to communicate with Micah-10 to see what she has to say.
Speaking to Micah-10 will reward you with the Convalescence: Rootbound quest.

Step 4: Talk to Cayde-6 in the Lost City
Cayde-6 needs to speak with you and he is currently in the Lost City, which is where you will need to go to speak with him.
Speaking to Cayde-6 will reward you with the Wild Card Exotic Quest.

Step 5: Ghost has something he wants to talk to you about. Go to the ledge of the old Tower in the Lost City to speak with him
Ghost has some insight into what has been happening and would like to open up to you, which now requires that you find and speak to him.

Step 6: Talk to Ghost to begin the quests “Lost in the Light” and “Found in the Dark.” Work with your allies to explore the possibility of synergy between Light and Darkness
After speaking with Ghost in quest step 5 of this quest, he will become a vendor that has quests, rank rewards, and focused decoding as well as upgrades.
Ghost will have the “Lost in the Light” and the “Found in the Dark” quests that you will need to complete before you can progress.

Step 7: Investigate spikes in Taken energy in the Refraction
After much of your progress in the Pale Heart, it seems that Savathun wants a take on everything that you have discovered.
You will need to investigate the spikes in Taken energy during the “Queens, Part II” activity to see what happens next.

Step 8: Go to the Lost City and confer with Ghost
With the new power at hand, Ghost would like to share his thoughts with you but you will need to discuss this somewhere safe.
Head over to Ghost in the Lost City and speak with him to hear what he has to say before you make use of the new power.
Step 9: Use the Dyadic Prism to access the new landing zone in the Sacrarium and claim your destiny
With the Dyadic Prism in your hands, it is time to make use of both the Light and Darkness but there must be balance between them.
Make your way to the landing zone in Sacrarium and begin the “Hope” mission to create the balance between Light and Darkness.

Destined Heroes Quest Rewards
Completing the Destined Heroes quest will reward you with the Ergo Sum Exotic Sword, which creates lightning storms when rapid final blows are dealt.
During the Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark quests from Ghost, you will be able to unlock several additions to your Prismatic Class.
Summary
With all the progress that has been made, the Vanguard and its allies now have a better chance against The Traveler.
Your previous encounter may have not been the best fight but it was proven that The Witness may be weakened and with the help of your allies, victory is possible.
The combined forces of the Vanguard and its allies may just be enough to put a stop to The Witness and save The Traveler.
