How to Get Ergo Sum in Destiny 2

When slicing up your enemies is not enough, you can always electrocute them with powerful lightning strikes to add more chaos to the fight.

The Ergo Sum is an Arc Exotic Sword that can be utilized by any subclass to deal significant damage to enemies with two sources of damage.

Guardians that make use of this Exotic Sword can deal initial damage by striking their enemies while also unleashing lightning strikes to damage groups.

How To Get Ergo Sum?

Ergo Sum can be obtained by completing the Destined Heroes Exotic Quest, which you obtain during The Final Shape main quest.

Destined Heroes is obtained from Ghost, who you speak to once you have progressed to quest step 29 and have spoken to him.

Ergo Sum Perks

Heavy attacks with Ergo Sum deploy a shockwave uppercut and launch its user into the area, which may be followed by another swing that deploys a homing strike to the target.

  • Tempered Edge – Increased sword damage and ammo.
  • Enduring Blade – Greatly increased sword ammo at the cost of damage.
  • Honed Edge – Increased sword damage

3) Guard Perks

Ergo Sum Intrinsic Traits

Stormbringer

Rapid final blows dealt with the Ergo Sum create a lightning storm at the target’s location, dealing damage to enemies that are hit.

This becomes increasingly active when you are slicing your way through multiple enemies, making it easier to clear them out with the additional damage dealt.

Ergo Sum Catalyst

This Exotic Arc Sword currently does not have a catalyst and now, it is unsure whether one will be added in any future updates.

Verdict

The Ergo Sum is quite the weapon to have, especially since it does not take up a power weapon slot and may even be equipped with other swords or melee weapons.

The lightning strikes released by this weapon deal a good amount of damage and can make it easy to fight through groups of enemies.

The combination of both powerful hits and lightning strikes works well with different builds, making this sword a versatile choice of a weapon.
