You were previously collecting Radiolaria samples for Failsafe on Nessus when suddenly Osiris reached out to you in panic.
He explained that Saint-14 had gone to Nessus but communication was lost for some reason there was no interference and instead, he was simply not responding.
You are to make your way to his last known location and meet up with Ikora to find out where Saint-14 is and what has happened to him.

How To Get Mesmerize Mission?
The Mesmerize Mission becomes available once you reach quest step 22 of A Rising Chorus: Act I and will need to be completed before you can progress further.
This happens after you have previously obtained 5 Radiolaria samples for 3 different locations on Nessus as instructed by Failsafe.
Mesmerize Mission Walkthrough
As you start the mission, you will need to push your way to the Well of Flame but Vex will be all around the area and this includes a boss called Lydrion, Symphonic Mind.
A good approach would be to take cover and defeat the weaker Vex combatants as well as take out the Uplifted Choral Cyclops (Turret) enemies in the area.
Reducing Lydrion’s health will force him to retreat as you make your way toward the Well of Flame until you eventually reach the entrance.
As you enter the Well of Flame, you will begin to hear Saint-14 and it is discovered that he is nearby but the area is blocked off.
You will need to head to 3 different spots in the Well of Flame and stay in the marked locations to Upload Data but Vex combatants will be attacking you.
This requires that you stay in each spot until all 3 are completed and if you are defeated, you will have to restart all over again.
After the uploads are complete, Lydrion, Symphonic Mind will appear again and this time you will need to defeat the large Vex box.
During the fight, Lydrion will become immune to damage and pause while you defeat the rest of the Vex in the area.
Defeating the other combatants in the area will allow you to continue your fight with Lydrion and afterward, this will open up the entrance to a portal in the ground.
You will find Ikora and Saint-14 and after reaching them, Ikora will remove a barrier that is covering him before they begin to talk.
After a brief conversation between the two, they will make their way back to the H.E.L.M. and the mission will come to an end.
Mesmerize Rewards
Completing the Mesmerize Mission will reward you with XP, Glimmer, a Legendary weapon as well as an Echo Engram.
This also allows you to progress with A Rising Chorus: Act 1, which you will now be able to complete after a few more quest steps.
Summary
An unknown presence has breached Saint-14’s mind, speaking to him and filling his mind with disturbing thoughts that forced him to contemplate his existence.
Saint-14 has started to see himself as a fake version of who he was supposed to be and begins to act strangely about what has happened.
You will need to meet up with everyone at the H.E.L.M. so that he can tell you more and if there is a chance, maybe this can be undone.
