Your previous efforts to stop the Imperium are slowly setting the next parts of Drifter’s plans in motion, but a little boost is waiting for you.
Aunor believes that the way the Guardian has been able to keep balance between the Light and Dark has made them worthy of their own Praxic Blade.
You must now journey to the Praxic Temple and face what challenges lie ahead to obtain an Exotic Sword that fits a warrior such as yourself to be used in battle.
How To Get Fire and Ice Mission?
The Fire and Ice mission becomes available once you reach Quest Step 33 of the Renegades Quest, which comes after you recently obtained a shuttle from the Imperium Firebase.
Aunor has informed you about a Praxic Vault that was raided by the Imperium, which is where a Praxic Tool awaits you that can be used against Bael.
Fire and Ice Mission Walkthrough
The mission starts with you outside of the Praxic Temple, where Imperium forces have been set up, and you will need to fight your way through them.
Make your way towards the waypoint by fighting through the enemies stationed in the area, and make your way into the Imperium Facility.
Defeat Val Cal’ric, the Door Technician, to get the Imperium Door Codes, which you will use at a nearby console to open the door across it.
Head inside the next room and clear the Taken combatants guarding the marked object, and enter the portal that appears once none are left.
Through the portal will be an Imbalanced Octant that you will need to pick up and head on top of the pillar in front of it, where a small entrance can be found.
Drop down and you will need to continue making your way through the path, which eventually leads you to a type of jump puzzle that you need to complete.
Continue crossing the gaps and making your way around the area until you make it to the ledge above one that you previously crossed, and make your way through the last gap to climb the stairs.
You will need to make your way through another puzzle area, which requires that you come in contact with marked walls and floors, which will disappear when you touch them.
This eventually allows you to reach a set of steps where you need to interact with an object in front of it to use the Imbalanced Octant.
Go up the steps and enter the portal, which will take you to another location where you need to jump across the gaps.
In this area, you will need to defeat enemies while also balancing the Light and Dark, which can be done by defeating combatants to get Opposite or Paired energy.
The energy needs to be thrown into the matching blights in order to expand them, and this must be done until all of them are full.
After completing the puzzle, interact with the marked device to Calibrate the Octant before proceeding to the portal that opens up.
Head through the portal, and you will be brought back to where you need to interact with the device marked by a waypoint.
This will invert the world that you are currently in, taking you to a darker part of the Ascendant Plane, and you will now need to head through another portal.
Once you have gone through the portal, cross over to the other side by jumping across the rock platforms and make your way through the entrance at the end.
A boss will be waiting for you, called Disciple of Harrow, who needs to be defeated by first reducing his health to its lowest point with regular attacks and abilities.
Afterward, you will need to create a balance with the 2 blights that are nearby, which require you to defeat the correct enemies and throw the energy into them.
Once the blights have been equally enlarged, Disciple of Harrow will be vulnerable, and you will be able to now finish him off.
Clear out the rest of the combatants in the area, and you will be teleported into the Praxic Vault, which is where the Exotic Sword known as the Praxic Blade can be found.
Interact with the Praxic Blade, and an Exotic Engram will drop, resulting in you obtaining the Praxic Blade when picking it up.
After interacting with the Praxic Blade, you will need to make your way to the portal to leave the Praxic Temple, bringing you into one of the previous entrances you were at.
You will need to defeat the enemies in the area, which ideally should have you already using the Praxic Blade at this time, as a tutorial goes on about how to use it.
Fight your way through the enemies until all of them have been cleared out, and the mission will shortly come to an end.
Fire and Ice Mission Rewards
Completing the Fire and Ice mission will provide you with the Praxic Blade, an Exotic Sword that has multiple features, including customization and advanced attacks.
In addition to obtaining this Exotic Sword, you will also be able to progress with the Renegades Quest, continuing to Quest Step 34.
Throughout the mission, it is possible to obtain drops from enemies as well as loot from the reward chest that appears. (Provides Legendary Equipment)
Verdict
After overcoming the trials of the Praxic Temple and fighting through the Imperium, you have secured a powerful new weapon, the Praxic Blade.
This Exotic Sword will be invaluable against the enemies that lie ahead, especially Bael, who wields the same fearsome weapon in battle.
