As you explore the world of Palworld, you’ll sometimes come across Treasure Maps, rare items that point you toward hidden loot buried across the land.
These maps are worth seeking out because they can lead you to gold, crafting materials, and sometimes rare weapons or powerful accessories.
If you know where to find them and how to use them efficiently, they can give you a nice boost during your journey.
How To Get Treasure Maps?
You’ll mostly find Treasure Maps as rare drops from treasure chests inside NPC bases, so you’ll need to raid camps to have a chance at getting them.
Clear out the enemies in these bases, open every chest you see, and keep farming them over time to increase your odds of finding maps.
Since they’re not common, be prepared to revisit bases as they respawn, especially higher-level camps that tend to drop better rewards.
How To Use Treasure Maps?
Use the Treasure Map from your Inventory just like any other consumable item, which will immediately mark the treasure’s location on your world map.
Head to the marked spot and look for a glowing vertical beam of light descending from the sky, which pinpoints exactly where the treasure lies.
Move to the base of the glowing beam and interact with it to dig up the treasure, automatically adding the loot directly to your inventory.
Treasure Map Loot
Treasure Maps can reward you with a mix of useful items such as crafting materials, healing supplies, rare accessories, or even weapon and armor schematics.
Higher-tier maps often yield better rewards, with rare and legendary maps frequently dropping advanced gear blueprints or powerful late-game equipment upgrades.
You’re guaranteed to receive some loot each time you dig up a treasure, and the map’s rarity directly increases the quality of the rewards.
Common loot obtained from Treasure Maps includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Schematics
- Recovery Items
- Fruits (Power, Life, Stout)
- Applied Techniques
Best Treasure Map Farming Locations
The best locations to farm Treasure Maps are on Sakurajima Island, as you can reach each location quickly within minutes, but the enemies here are tougher.
Sakurajima Island has 4 locations where NPC Bases appear, and Treasure Maps that you obtain from the main chests are likely to provide you with Legendary Quality ones.
The following are the coordinates where you can find each of the NPC bases on Sakurajima Island:
- -568, 242
- -610, 212
- -627, 246
- -690, 182
Max Active Treasure Maps
You can have up to ten Treasure Maps active at a time, meaning you can only mark ten treasure locations on your map simultaneously.
If you reach this limit, you won’t be able to activate new maps until you dig up some of the marked treasures and free up space.
Verdict
Treasure Maps offer one of the most reliable ways to acquire rare schematics and materials, making them incredibly useful for farming powerful endgame gear.
They reward active exploration by encouraging you to clear NPC bases, gather maps, and hunt down treasures to steadily improve your character and Pals.
For players focused on late-game progression, consistently farming and completing these maps is an efficient path to unlocking high-tier equipment and staying competitive in tougher battles.
