Moldon Cryst (Location, Drops, Uses, Partner Skill & Work Suitability): Palworld

Some Ice Pals are built around freezing enemies, while others are better suited to exploiting the weaknesses that Ice already has an advantage against.

Moldron Cryst takes that approach further, rewarding accurate attacks against vulnerable enemies and making an Ice-focused setup hit considerably harder.

Its Ice/Ground typing also gives it a strong selection of attacks, letting it bring both elements into battle while remaining useful around your base.

Moldron Cryst Location

Moldron Cryst does not appear as a regular wild Pal and can instead be encountered as a Level 78 Field Boss at -1942, 1516 in Boreal Summit within the World Tree.

Partner Skill

Ice Overload

Moldron Cryst’s Partner Skill is called Ice Overload, allowing it to be ridden while also increasing the player’s and Pals’ Ice damage against enemy weak points by 25%.

The effect applies when Ice damage hits an enemy’s weakness, making it particularly effective against Dragon Pals, which are weak to Ice.

The bonus does not stack with another Moldron Cryst, but upgrading the Partner Skill increases the bonus from 25% at Level 1 to 40% at Level 5.

This makes Moldron Cryst an interesting choice for Ice-focused parties, especially when paired with Pals that can consistently deal Ice damage and exploit elemental weaknesses.

Moldron Cryst Exclusive Skills

1) Ice Spit

Ice Spit causes Moldron Cryst to spit a large chunk of ice at an enemy, dealing heavy Ice damage when it strikes the target.

The impact also creates frost pools around the area that continue damaging enemies and can freeze those that step into them, making it useful for controlling groups.

2) Ice Laser

Ice Laser fires a powerful freezing beam from Moldron Cryst’s mouth, dealing heavy Ice damage while leaving frost pools behind.

These pools can continue damaging enemies and potentially freeze them, making the skill useful for controlling an area during combat.

Moldron Cryst Uses

Moldron Cryst is a strong choice for Ice-focused teams that want to capitalize on elemental weaknesses rather than simply stacking raw damage.

Ice Overload becomes especially useful against Dragon Pals, allowing both your character and your other Ice Pals to hit their weakness harder when landing Ice attacks.

Its own moveset also gives it plenty of ways to apply Ice damage, with Ice Laser and Ice Spit providing powerful attacks that can leave frost pools around enemies.

At your base, Level 5 Mining allows Moldron Cryst to work Ore and other mineral resources, while Level 5 Cooling lets it handle Refrigerators, Cooler Boxes, and other facilities requiring Cooling.

Work Suitability

  • Mining – Lv. 5
  • Cooling – Lv. 5

Possible Drops

Moldron Cryst Drops

  • Ice Organ
  • Leather

Verdict

Moldron Cryst stands out by turning an enemy’s elemental weakness into an even bigger opening for your entire team.

Ice Overload rewards you for landing Ice attacks against vulnerable targets, making it especially valuable when you are deliberately matching your attacks to an enemy’s weakness.

Its Field Boss status also makes capturing one worthwhile, giving you a Pal with a powerful team-focused ability that can change how you approach Ice-based battles..
