Schematics are one of the most important parts of Palworld as these can be used to craft better variants of the different equipment that you have.
While farming Schematics can be done often, this can be tedious, and you may end up getting multiple copies of Uncommon and Rare Schematics.
Thanks to the addition of the Drafting Table to the game, Schematics of the same Rarity can now be converted into better ones, which is a huge convenience for everyone.
How To Unlock and Build Drafting Table?
Once you reach Level 45, the Drafting Table can be unlocked from your Technology Menu and this will cost you 4 Technology Points.
Once the Drafting Table has been unlocked, you may build it by selecting it from the Production Section in your Build Menu.
Building the Drafting Table will cost the following materials:
- 20 Refined Ingot
- 100 Wood
- 30 Charcoal
How To Use Drafting Table?
Once the Drafting Table has been built, you may interact with it to open its menu, and this will show you all the schematics that can be crafted.
Crafting schematics will require that you have a certain amount of the previous rarity, which consumes the lesser Schematics to create a better one.
Each schematic that you will craft will require 5 of the same Schematics of the previous tier and this is the same with all of them.
An example would be crafting a Rocket Launcher Schematic 3 with 5 copies of the Rocket Launcher Schematic 2. (This creates an Epic Schematic using 5 Rare Schematics)
The following is a breakdown of the crafting costs for Schematics at a Drafting Table:
- 5 Uncommon = 1 Rare
- 5 Rare = 1 Epic
- 5 Epic = 1 Legendary
When crafting Schematics, you will only be able to use ones of the same type of equipment and these will appear in the Drafting Table when they are in your inventory.
Upgrading Schematics
When it comes to Upgrading Schematics, this is crafting new ones using those from a previous Tier or Rarity. (Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary)
If you end up farming Schematics and find yourself with several Uncommon Schematics, you should keep them for later as this can lead to you crafting Epic or Legendary ones.
This will be because Uncommon Schematics may be used to craft a Rare one and if you have several Rare ones, they can be used to craft an Epic one, and so on.
How To Get Schematics?
There are multiple ways to get Schematics in Palworld, which include defeating certain Pals, and opening chests that you find while exploring the islands or dungeons.
Some of the best ways include clearing dungeons or raiding the Oil Rigs that can be found in specific locations.
As long as you get your hands on Schematics, it would be best to set them aside for later until you eventually upgrade to Legendary Schematics.

Back then, obtaining Epic and Legendary Schematics would be a difficult thing to do because you would have to wait for resets.
Now, you can continue farming and exploring and save any Schematics that you find for crafting better ones later.
Eventually, being able to craft better Schematics will put you at an advantage since weapons and equipment with better rarity have better stats.
