Elgrove Cryst (Location, Drops, Uses, Partner Skill & Work Suitability): Palworld

Soak can already leave enemies vulnerable, but Elgrove Cryst takes advantage of that status by letting your attacks freeze affected targets in a single hit.

This Ice Pal can turn Water-focused setups into a strong combination, giving you a way to lock down enemies after they have been afflicted with Soak.

It also brings several useful jobs to your base, with Cooling 5 backed by Lumbering, Mining, and Transporting for additional work.

Partner Skill

Father Winter’s Threat

Elgrove Cryst’s Partner Skill is called Father Winter’s Threat, granting the player the ability to freeze an enemy in one strike when attacking a target afflicted with Soak.

This creates a powerful combination with Water attacks, as you can first apply Soak before following up with your own attack to trigger Freeze.

The effect remains available while Elgrove Cryst is simply in your party, meaning you do not need to deploy it for the ability to affect your attacks.

Partner Skill upgrades do not change the Freeze effect itself, which remains a 100% application against Soaked targets.

Elgrove Cryst Exclusive Skills

1) Snow Rush

Snow Rush is Elgrove Cryst’s exclusive skill, sending it into a frenzy as it charges at enemies with two consecutive Ice attacks.

2) Raging Snow Rush

Raging Snow Rush is its stronger exclusive skill, unleashing four consecutive Ice-element charge attacks while Elgrove Cryst enters a violent frenzy.

With 650 Power, Raging Snow Rush gives Elgrove Cryst a powerful close-range option for dealing heavy Ice damage.

Elgrove Cryst Uses

Elgrove Cryst is particularly interesting for teams that can consistently apply Soak, allowing your attacks to immediately freeze enemies once the status is active.

This gives you a strong way to control enemies during combat, especially when you combine Water-based attacks with Elgrove Cryst’s Partner Skill.

Its own Ice skills also give it plenty of offensive options, including Blizzard Spike, Diamond Rain, and Raging Snow Rush for dealing heavy damage.

At your base, Cooling 5 makes Elgrove Cryst useful for Refrigerators, Cooler Boxes, and other facilities that require Cooling, while Lumbering, Mining, and Transporting give it additional jobs.

Work Suitability

  • Lumbering – Lv. 3
  • Mining – Lv. 3
  • Cooling – Lv. 5

Verdict

Elgrove Cryst can be a nasty addition to a Soak-focused party, letting your attacks turn already-wet enemies into frozen targets with a single hit.

Its Ice moves give it plenty of firepower when deployed, with Raging Snow Rush providing a particularly strong option for close-range damage.

Outside combat, Cooling 5 gives it an obvious role at your base, while its other work abilities let it take on additional jobs when cooling is already covered.
