Diablo 4: Urivar (Location, Summoning, Fight & Loot)

During the Vessel of Hatred Campaign, you find yourself on the run as a man named Urivar is constantly in pursuit of you and your allies until you finally put him to rest.

Urivar now appears as an Initiate Lair Boss that can be challenged in the endgame ladder to obtain several rewards as well as materials used for progression into higher tier bosses.

Urivar still poses a threat even with better equipment, making him one of the stronger bosses to face amongst the Initiate Lair Bosses available.

Urivar Location (Fields of Judgement)

Urivar resides in the Fields of Judgement (Boss Lair), which may be found in the region of Nahantu around the Tengenze Plateau.

The closest waypoint to the Fields of Judgement would be Kichuck (Stronghold) but you may also head to the Boss Lair by going east from The Den or north from Ichorfall.

You can fast travel to the Fields of Judgement by selecting it on your map.

Summoning and Defeating Urivar

Upon reaching and entering the Fields of Judgement, you will need to fight your way through the camp of Urivar’s minions and find the Burned Altar.

Once you interact with the Burned Altar, Urivar will spawn into the area and begin attacking you, while shortly after, additional Knight Penitents also join the fight.

Urivar tends to have slow but heavy attacks, and you should evade them whenever possible as some of them may kill you in a single hit if you are not well-equipped.

The Knight Penitents will begin to attack more heavily once Urivar’s health has been brought to half, while Urivar temporarily retreats before returning to the fight.

Once the Knight Penitents have been defeated, you may continue fighting Urivar along with the remaining enemies until he is defeated.

How To Open Urivar’s Hoard Chest?

Once Urivar has been defeated, Urivar’s Hoard Chest will appear in the northeast part of the arena, and you may open it using a Lair Key.

Opening Urivar’s Hoard requires 1 Lair Key, which is consumed when used and applies to all Initiate Lair Boss Hoards.

Verdict

Urivar is a slow but dangerous Initiate Lair Boss that can easily punish players who underestimate his damage output or misread his attack timing.

The Knight Penitents will consistently apply pressure throughout the encounter, especially as the fight progresses and more of them join the battle.

Good movement, awareness of enemy positioning, and careful handling of adds will make the fight significantly more manageable despite Urivar’s high burst potential.
