Diablo 4 Urivar (Location, Summoning, Fight & Loot)

During the Vessel of Hatred Campaign, you find yourself on the run as a man named Urivar is constantly in pursuit of you and your allies until you finally put him to rest.

After his reintroduction in Season 8: Belial’s Return, you may now face Urivar as an endgame ladder boss to obtain several rewards as well as Lair Boss Keys to higher tier bosses.

Urivar still poses a threat though even if you have already switched to better equipment, making him one of the stronger bosses to go against amongst the Initiate Lair Bosses.

Urivar Location (Fields of Judgement)

Urivar resides in the Fields of Judgement (Boss Lair), which may be found in the region of Nahantu around the Tengenze Plateau.

The closest waypoint to the Fields of Judgement would be Kichuck (Stronghold) but you may also head to the Boss Lair by going east from The Den or north from Ichorfall.

You can fast travel to the Fields of Judgement by selecting it on your map.

Summoning and Defeating Urivar

Upon reaching and entering the Fields of Judgement, you will need to fight your way through the camp of Urivar’s minions and find the Burned Altar.

Once you interact with the Burned Altar, Urivar will spawn into the area and will begin attacking you but shortly after, additional Knight Penitents join the fight as well.

Urivar tends to have slow attacks but you should evade them whenever you can as some of them may kill you with a single hit if you are not well-equipped.

The Knight Penitents will begin to attack once Urivar’s health has been brought to half while he flees until you defeat them.

Once the Knight Penitents have been defeated, you may continue fighting Urivar along with other Knights until he is defeated.

How To Open Urivar’s Hoard Chest?

Once Urivar has been defeated, Urivar’s Hoard chest will appear in the northeast part of the arena, and you may open it using 12 Judicator’s Mask.

Judicator’s Masks are Initiate Lair Boss keys and may be obtained through several activities during any season such as opening Tree of Whispers caches, defeating world bosses, or Mercenary Bartering.

Verdict

If you want to get rewards for defeating Urivar, you will want to make sure to bring at least 12 Judicator’s Masks as this is the amount needed to open his Hoard Chest.

Urivar can be deadly if you do not move around as he is slower than most bosses but makes up for it with his damage and the large group of Knight Penitents that surround you.

Knight Penitents will often charge at you, which makes the center of the arena a good place to position yourself for when they attack and when Urivar rejoins the battle.
