You continue your search for the Druid known as Nafain, who the Knights at Tirmair were unable to reach due to his aggressive companion.
Nafain’s companion seems to not be hostile towards you after it realizes you are not with the Knights and has begun to lead you.
You will need to follow the wolf as it will lead you to Nafain, who you need to check on to see what Lilith has done.
How To Get The Beast Within Quest?
The Beast Within quest begins right away after you have completed the Feral Nature quest, which recently had you find a runic stone and meet the wolf companion.
The Beast Within Quest Objectives
1) Follow Nafain’s Wolf
Nafain’s wolf will be leading the way (marked by a marker) and you need to follow it through The Blood Vale, which also requires you to fight your way past enemies.
Whenever you are left behind, Nafain’s Wolf will pause and wait until you catch up with it but it will not be attacked by any of the monsters in the area.
2) Meet Nafain’s Wolf
Nafain’s Wolf will stop at a certain point where you need to climb up to a cliff and will jump up once you are nearby.
Nafain’s Wolf companion will wait for you to climb up before it continues to lead you to Nafain, who will be nearby.
3) Find Nafain in the Heart of the Moors
As you continue to follow Nafain’s Wolf, the area where Nafain is located will be revealed and you will need to head to it. (Will be marked on your map)
4) Speak to Nafain
Once you reach the end of the area, you will find Nafain who has been bound to a tree with his lower body torn from him, which has left him bleeding out.
You will need to speak to Nafain to continue and he will tell you what has happened, which later ends the quest.
The Beast Within Rewards
After discovering what has happened to Nafain and joining up with his wolf, the quest ends and you will receive XP and Gold that is determined by your level.
Verdict
As you reach Nafain, you realize that his blood has been endlessly flowing around the moor, which has caused the corruption.
Lilith has gotten to him and she ended up tearing him apart and binding him to the tree after she got what she wanted.
Nafain has pointed you in her direction and his wolf companion, who is revealed to be called Fiorban will accompany you.
