Diablo 4 Scattered Prism (How to Get, Farming & Uses)

Scattered Prism is one of the rare crafting materials that can be obtained in Diablo 4 and is important for enhancing your gear so that items can be socketed into them.

With this crafting material, you will be able to improve your equipment by adding sockets, which later can allow you to place items that can add bonus stats.

Obtaining Scattered Prisms will not be as easy as most of the resources as you need to hunt elusive targets or face large and powerful enemies to get them.

About Scattered Prism

Scattered Prisms are described as mysterious prisms that can often be found in massive bodies, which hints that these come from world bosses.

These are rare materials and are often hoarded by their previous owners, making them difficult to obtain as they are often guarded jealously.

How To Get Scattered Prism?Defeating Treasure Goblin to get Scattered Prism

Scattered Prisms can be obtained by hunting Treasure Goblins or by defeating World Bosses that appear throughout Sanctuary.

1) Hunting Treasure Goblins

Hunting Treasure Goblins is one of the easiest ways to get Scattered Prisms as they have a chance to drop 1 or 2 of these when defeated. (This only happens by chance)

Treasure Goblins will appear every now and then whenever you are roaming the open world of Sanctuary and may even appear when you explore dungeons.

You will know if there is a Treasure Goblin nearby as a shimmer appears on your map and an icon of a Treasure Goblin holding a sack shows on your map when you are closer.

2) Defeating World Bosses

World Bosses tend to appear in Sanctuary from time to time and fighting them can provide you with several rewards once you slay them.

Among these rewards will also be Scattered Prisms, which makes hunting World Bosses a guaranteed way to get them but a more difficult task.

While defeating World Bosses has the best chance to get Scattered Prisms, this can only be done at certain times when they appear on the map.

Scattered Prism Farming

To farm Scattered Prisms, you will need to make sure you participate in World Boss fights, which can take a bit of time to complete as the bosses are very strong.

If you are not hunting World Bosses, you can also resort to exploring Sanctuary or grind dungeons to find Treasure Goblins lurking around.

You should always keep an eye out for Treasure Goblins as these tend to appear every now and then, making them a good source of Scattered Prisms.

Scattered Prism UsesUsing Scattered Prisms to add sockets to the equipment

Scattered Prisms are used to add sockets to your equipment, which will later allow you to insert gems into them to give various bonuses.

You can do this by visiting a Jeweler and selecting the add socket option, which will allow you to place the equipment you want to be socketed, and this will require you to have a Scattered Prism.

Once a piece of equipment has been socketed, you can insert gems into it, and they will have bonus stats depending on what has been inserted.

Verdict

Scattered Prisms are one of the rarest crafting materials you can get in Diablo 4 and are best saved for later when you have good gear.

While these are not that easy to obtain, they are very useful later when you want to improve your equipment for endgame purposes.

You will be able to obtain certain gear that is already socketed as you play the game, which makes it better to save your Scattered Prisms for later.
