Diablo4 Rip & Tear Aspect (How to Get & Effects)

The Rip and Tear Aspect was added in Season 8: Belial’s Return and provides a boost to the Rushing Claw skill used by the Spiritborn Class.

This comes in handy when you want to maximize the amount of damage that the skill can do based on the amount of charges that you save up.

Depending on how many charges of Rushing Claw you have, the Rip and Tear Aspect will provide additional effects to the attack.

Rip and Tear Aspect Effects

Once you have Rip and Tear added to one of your equipment, Rushing Claw will deal an additional [10%-30%] damage and will be empowered.

When Rip and Tear are empowered, this will be based on the amount of Charges that you have when casting the skill.

The following are the empowered effects of Rip and Tear for Rushing Claw:

  • 1 Charge – Heals 15% of your Maximum Life
  • 2 Charges – Guaranteed to Overpower
  • 3 Charges – Guaranteed to Critically Strike
  • 4+ Charges – Strikes an additional time

How to Get Rip and Tear Aspect?

Rip and Tear Aspect was introduced in the Season 8 update and can only be obtained by Salvaging equipment that has it.

An example of an item that provides you with the Rip and Tear Aspect would be the Rip and Tear Woven Quarterstaff. (Legendary Quarterstaff)

Tips

Since Rip and Tear provide bonuses based on having 1 to 4 charges, having 4 charges is enough to deal a full powerful blow with Rushing Claw.

Increasing your Cooldown Reduction or adding passives that reduce your Cooldowns will allow you to generate charges for Rushing Claw faster.

Rushing Claw can hit several enemies, making it a powerful attack to clear out groups that you run into or that you have lured close to each other.

Verdict

Rip and Tear can be utilized with different Spiritborn Builds as players sometimes combine Jaguar, Centipede, Eagle, and Gorilla skills.

The option to alter your Spirits via the Spirit Hall can help you adjust the effects of Rushing Claw, which will be affected by Rip and Tear.

Waiting for Rushing Claw to obtain 4 or more charges is ideal to maximize the amount of damage that the skill can deal to enemies.
