You and Lorath reached Kyovashad and it seems that he is well known by one of the guards but you were left behind to perform the Rite of Passage.
Lorath had gone ahead inside as he was permitted by the Elder Guard and now that you have finished the Rite of Passage, you will need to find him.
Once the two of you meet up in Kyovashad, you will need to present yourself to the Cathedral of Light to inform them about what is happening.
How To Get Missing Pieces?
The Missing Pieces quest begins right after you have completed the Rite of Passage quest, where you were instructed to burn your sins before entering Kyovashad.
Missing Pieces Quest Objectives
1) Meet Lorath in Kyovashad
After previously completing the Guard’s request to burn your sin, you will need to find Lorath, who will be overrun by the Stable.
Head over to Lorath and speak with him, which later reveals that he is leaving by horse to head to the Dry Steppes to search for a Pale Man from your vision.
Before he leaves though, he will ask you to retrieve some of his belongings which he had sold off to a merchant back in the day.
2) Speak with the Merchant
Head over to the merchant (marked on your map) and interact with him to talk about Lorath’s items and the merchant will offer them back but for a price.
3) Purchase Lorath’s Polearm
You will need to interact with the merchant to open his shop menu and purchase Lorath’s Polearm for 20 Gold and after you have it, he will put an amulet on the table.
4) Pick up the Strange Amulet
The merchant will tell you that he is giving the Strange Amulet back for free as it was also amongst the belongings that Lorath sold and you will need to take it.
5) Return the items to Lorath
Once you have Lorath’s belongings, head back and speak to him to hand them over, which results in a quick conversation that later ends the quest.
Missing Pieces Rewards
Completing, Missing Pieces will reward you with random equipment, XP, and Gold (based on your character level) and this will also unlock the following Acts:
- Act I: A Cold and Iron Faith (Level 5)
- Act II: The Knife Twists Again (Level 10)
- Act III: The Making of Monsters (Level 15)
Verdict
What was meant to be a venture for you and Lorath turned out to take a slight turn as the two of you will now split up.
Lorath has set out in search of the Pale Man while you are left in Kyovashad to present yourself to the Cathedral of Light.
Your objectives have been made clear and once you have progressed with everything that is needed, you will later need to meet up with Lorath once more.
