One of the recent Aspects added in Diablo 4 for the Rogue that allows you to spread out a ton of damage is the Aspect of Star Shards.
This Aspect is used to enhance Dance of Knives, which allows your projectiles to split into additional ones to damage more enemies.
If you are a fan of the Dance of Knives skill, you will most likely want to get your hands on this Aspect to enhance your build and deal damage to even more enemies.
Aspect of Star Shard Effects
The Aspect of Star Shards modifies Dance of Knives, providing the knives thrown by your Rogue with a 50% chance to shatter into 6 shards of metal when they hit an enemy.
Once a projectile from Dance of Knives hits an enemy, if the Aspect of Star Shards triggers, 6 projectiles will spread out from the target.
Enemies that are hit by these additional projectiles will take damage and this can happen several times depending on the 50% chance.
How To Get Aspect of Star Shards?
Aspect of Star Shards is not obtained from dungeons but instead, you will need to find equipment that has the Aspect imbued.
Once you have an item that has the Aspect of Star Shards, you may proceed with salvaging it at a Blacksmith to unlock the Aspect.
From then on, you will be able to imbue your items with the Aspect of Star Shards as many times as you would like as an Occultist.
Aspect of Star Shard Uses
Aspect of Star Shards is used to enhance the Dance of Knives skill that Rogues may unlock under their Agility Skills.
Using this Aspect will allow you to damage more enemies instead of relying on just the projectiles thrown as you channel the skill.
This makes it easier for you to not only damage enemies but also take out groups easily, especially if you have an Imbuement active while channeling Dance of Knives.
Verdict
Dance of Knives can be a great skill to have with almost any build as this attack does not consume your Primary Resource and may be used to move around while dealing damage.
The additional projectiles from Dance of Knives make it easier to damage groups of enemies and with additional movement speed, you can keep the skill going for a long duration.
As your damage increases, the damage of the metal blades released from Dance of Knives with this Aspect will also deal more damage to enemies.
