Diablo 4 Abyssal Scroll (How to Get, Location & Uses)

If you have already discovered The Infernal Hordes activity, you will know by now that you need to get your hands on an Infernal Compass.

An Infernal Compass allows you to enter the Gates of Hell to participate in the activity but each of these has a tier and sometimes farming and crafting them can take time.

This makes an Abyssal Scroll handy to have as this consumable allows you to increase the tier of an Infernal Compass to yield better rewards by increasing its difficulty.

Where To Get Abyssal Scroll?

Abyssal Scrolls can be obtained within The Well of Hatred, which is where you fight the Fell Council in The Infernal Hordes activity.

This location is opened whenever an Infernal Compass is used, allowing you to enter the Gates of Hell to fight multiple waves of enemies.

How To Farm Abyssal Scroll?Farming Abyssal Scroll

Abyssal Scrolls have a chance to drop when you open any of the chests from The Infernal Hordes activity, regardless of which one is chosen.

To open these chests, you will need to reach the end of the activity and will have to use Burning Aether each time a chest is opened.

Increasing the chance to get Abyssal Scrolls can be done by choosing the Urn of Abyssal Knowledge seasonal blessing, which requires Smoldering Ashes.

It is possible to get several Abyssal Scrolls in one session depending on how much Burning Aether you are able to collect.

Abyssal Scroll UsesUses of Abyssal Scroll

Abyssal Scrolls are used to upgrade The Infernal Hordes Compass (Infernal Compass), increasing its tier by 1.

This will make the Infernal Compass create a more difficult tier when activated, which provides you with more rewards.

Each Infernal Compass may be upgraded multiple times but will be maxed out at Tier 8, which is the highest tier for The Infernal Hordes.

Infernal Compass Highest Tier

The highest tier for an Infernal Compass is Tier 8, which boosts the level of the monsters in The Infernal Hordes to 200.

Attempting to use Abyssal Scrolls on a Tier 8 Infernal Compass will yield no results but will still consume the Abyssal Scroll.

Verdict

An Infernal Compass will create a more difficult run of The Infernal Tides, which will provide you with more rewards and include a bonus chest.

Those who have several extra Abyssal Scrolls can farm large amounts of Sigil Powder by upgrading an Infernal Compass and salvaging it.

It is recommended to prepare and face each tier that you can handle first before jumping into higher-tier sessions as the difficulty scales greatly with each tier of The Infernal Hordes.
