Diablo 4’s Season Rank system offers tons of rewards, and some players are eager to get as much as possible before the season ends.
Sometimes there will be objectives that appear rather tricky, and one of them appears to be the Mangled Message, which is often supposed to be an easy one to complete.
Completing Mangled Message is rather easy, and instead of focusing on it directly, players should focus on other progression, and this will later be completed.
Mangled Message Objectives
Mangled Message has a lot written down, and players sometimes try to tackle these one at a time to complete this, but those who have progressed have already gotten this done.
Let’s break things down to make them simpler:
- Transform into the Butcher and rampage through the Helltides with the Shrine of Slaughter.
- Decimate the Fields of Hatred using the Ceremony of Slaughter.
- Wreak havoc in Slaughterhouses.
- Utilize Rampage, Feast, and Hunger Affixes on Bloodied Items to gain their effects during Kill Streaks.
If you sum all of these up, you will often be able to get this done by simply playing through the season, but if you are eager to get that bonus Skill Point, there are a few ways to go about it.
Completing Mangled Message
What you will want to make sure of is that you have at least one Rampage, Feast, and Hunger item equipped, which will allow you to gain their effects. (This happens during Kill Streaks)
With a full set of armor, go ahead and progress through the season, and don’t forget to visit the Helltides and use a Meaty Offering to turn into the Butcher to slay a bunch of enemies.
As you progress, you will eventually get your hands on Slaughterhouse Sigils that you can use to complete the activity, while the Ceremony of Slaughter can be completed in the Fields of Hatred.
Mangled Message Bug
Some players may experience issues where progress does not update correctly despite completing the required activities during the season.
This can happen if certain objectives are not properly tracked, especially when multiple conditions are completed at the same time in different activities.
If this occurs, continuing to repeat the related activities or relogging usually resolves the issue and allows progress to update correctly.
Verdict
Mangled Message might look complicated at first, but it is one of those objectives that completes itself as you play through the season.
Instead of forcing progress, focusing on regular activities like Helltides, Slaughterhouses, and Kill Streak farming will get it done without extra effort.
By the time you are deep into seasonal progression, this objective should already be completed, giving you an easy reward along the way.
