Previously, you met with Shyan, and after learning about the Chaos Rifts, you decided to meet her in Yelesna to help her out.
Upon speaking to Shyan, she reveals her plan which involves finding the den of a cult that has ties with Bartuc.
You and Shyan are to make your way to the cult’s den to figure out what is going on there and find Bartuc if he is held up there.
How To Get Den of Iniquity Quest?
Den of Iniquity serves as the second Seasonal Quest in the Season of Infernal Chaos, which becomes available after the Sands of Chaos quest.
This unlocks after reaching Rank 2 with Viz-Jaq’taar Veneration Rank.
Den of Iniquity Quest Walkthrough
Start by making your way to Yelesna if you are currently not in the town, and once you arrive, speak with Shyan to learn more about her plan.
Once you have spoken to Shyan, make your way to the Cultist Den that she had previously spoken about, and this should be a short distance from Yelesna.
After meeting up with Shyan outside of the Cultist Den, make your way inside, and you will need to search for the Summoning Chamber.
Fight your way through the enemies in the Cultist Den Basement until you eventually reach a man locked inside a cage.
Release the man and speak with him, which will reveal that Mephisto is somehow involved with the whole ordeal involving Bartuc.
After speaking to the prisoner, who is later revealed to be a man called Daidian, continue searching for the Summoning Chamber by heading deeper into the den.
From there, you will need to continue searching for the Summoning Chamber, which can be done by clearing out the other parts of the den.
Eventually, you will reach the Summoning Chamber, and instead of finding Bartuc, there will be a demon called Ismail the Accursed.
You will have to defeat Ismail the Accursed before you can continue, but this boss won’t be too hard, and he should go down after a couple of minutes.
Speak to Yelesna afterward, and she will talk about her plans, which involve taking the head of the boss that you have just slain. (Quest Ends Here)
Den of Iniquity Seasonal Quest Rewards
Upon the completion of the Den of Iniquity quest, you might have to complete Bartuc’s Reign of Chaos repeatable quest to progress to the next quest.
Rewards for completing this quest include XP, Gold, and an Herb Cache.
Verdict
It turns out that the cultists serve Bartuc, but the man you rescued earlier believes that Mephisto may have something up his sleeve.
To learn more, Shyan will need to sever the head of the demon you have just killed and bring it back to her order.
From here on, it is known that Bartuc may have a full force of demons awaiting his commands as well as cultists, which requires you to put a stop to his plans as soon as possible.
