Diablo 4: How to Get Chaos Armor

With the arrival of the new update, players will now be able to obtain Chaos Armor, which introduces a whole new way to use some of the most popular Uniques in Diablo 4.

Chaos Armor are twisted versions of existing Uniques that no longer drop in their original slots but instead appear as different gear pieces.

Not only do they provide more flexibility, but Chaos Armor also comes stronger than their normal versions, giving players an edge in both damage and customization.

What is Chaos Armor?

Chaos Armor is a new type of Unique that can drop in the Helm, Chest, Gloves, Pants, or Boots slots, and each one is a twisted version of existing Uniques.

These versions always come with maximum power, include at least one Greater Affix, and are easy to spot thanks to their distinct item name color.

For example, Locran’s Talisman may appear as a Chest Armor instead of a Talisman, letting you equip it in our Chest Armor slot, allowing you to equip something else as an Amulet.

This can be useful when you want specific stats or upgrades for a certain item, giving you more customizability to your builds.

How To Get Chaos Armor?

1) Defeating Bartuc, Lord of Chaos

Defeating Bartuc, Lord of Chaos, is one of the main sources for Chaos Armor, and he can be challenged at the end of The Infernal Hordes activity. (Costs 666 Burning Aether)

When fighting Bartuc on Torment III or Torment IV, he will always drop a piece of Chaos Armor, making these difficulties the best way to farm the new items.

Players who challenge Bartuc on Torment I or Torment II will also have a chance to get Chaos Armor, but the drop rate will be lower compared to the higher difficulties.

2) Helltide Chests

Helltide Chests that you open have a chance to drop Chaos Armor, and depending on the type of armor the chest drops, the Unique will be the same type.

This is a good way to choose the specific type of armor you want to be Chaos Armor, but the chances are often slimmer than defeating Bartuc, Lord of Chaos.

Farming in the Helltides is still a decent way to progress throughout the season, and since there are Chaos Rifts that may drop Chaos Armor.

3) Legendary Chaos Rifts (Chaos Armor)

Some Legendary Chaos Rifts have Chaos Armor as their rewards, which makes this a guaranteed way to get Chaos Armor in the Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons.

You will be able to tell if a Chaos Rift is a Legendary one by checking it on the map, and you will be able to see what rewards it provides when you are near it.

Legendary Chaos Rifts are a bit more difficult to complete, but the rewards are worth the trouble, especially if they give you Chaos Armor.

3) The Pit of the Artificer

Chaos Armor has a small chance to drop as a reward when you defeat The Guardian (boss) at the end of the activity.

Starting from Torment I up to Torment IV, Chaos Armor may drop and has a better chance in higher world difficulties.

Grinding this activity is not only a great way for you to get a chance to obtain Chaos Armor, it is also necessary for upgrading your Glyphs and gaining XP.
