You were able to enter the Untamed Thicket and followed the trail of corruption to the Corrupted Spawning Grounds.
It was there that you found a beast during its gestation stage but you were unable to kill it before it could escape and it now roams free.
You will need to head back to Nafain, who continues to suffer as he bleeds out while remaining bound to a tree, causing the corruption.
How To Get Buried Secrets Quest?
Buried Secrets is obtained after you have completed the Fangs of Corruption quest, where you attempted but failed to kill the Amalgam of Rage.
Buried Secrets Quest Objectives
1) Return to Eldhaime Keep
After putting Nafain out of his misery, make your way back to Eldhaime Keep by walking back or using the nearest Waypoint to fast-travel to a closer location.
2) Return to Donan
Upon arriving around the border of Eldhaime Keep, you will notice the place has already been attacked and that you were too late.
You will need to continue making your way to the marked area until you reach a dead end, which later reveals that the original entrance to the keep has been blocked by debris.
3) Search Eldhaime Keep for survivors
Head back and fight your way through the other path making your way to the marked area and you will find the remaining survivors.
4) Talk to Commander Antje
As you approach the area, Commander Antje will call out to you and you will need to head over to them by first destroying the barricade.
Interact with Commander Antje to begin a dialogue where she tells you that they could not stop Lilith no matter what they tried.
She then points you toward Donan’s direction, which is where you will need to head off to next to find out what needs to be done next.
Buried Secrets Rewards
Once you have finished speaking to Commander Antje, the Buried Secrets quest will be complete and you will receive XP and Gold based on your current level.
Verdict
While you were out searching for Donan’s companions, it looks like Lilith was preoccupied with destroying Eldhaime Keep.
You made your way back but the attack had already happened and many lives were lost with few survivors remaining.
Donan is somewhere inside the Eldhaime Ruins and you will need to find him to discuss what else has happened in your absence.
