While previously searching for Ghost Parts to help fix Drifter’s Ghost, progress was stalled when the last component couldn’t be found.
As a last resort, you sought help from Spider, but in return for his help, he needed a favor, and this led you to search for his missing crew.
His missing crew was last seen in the Lawless Frontier, and not only do you need to find them, but you also need to bring back Spider’s precious cargo.
How To Get Welcome To The Frontier Mission?
Welcome to the Frontier becomes available once you have reached Quest Step 11 of the Renegades (Introduction) Quest.
This happens after you have spoken to Spider regarding the last component required to fix Drifter’s Ghost, which he can supply if you help him out.
Welcome To The Frontier Mission Walkthrough
At the start of the mission, you will need to head to Spider’s Utility Shank and interact with it to open up the Renegade Abilities Selector menu, where you will equip your Renegade Abilities.
Once the Renegade Abilities Selector menu is open, you will need to equip both Revitalize and Strafing Run before going into the nearby ship to begin the infiltration.
You will then be taken to the Freehold Outskirts, but upon landing, you will take damage, and before you proceed, you will need to use Revitalize. (A tutorial pops up to teach you)
Fight your way through the enemies and make your way to the Exfiltration Flare once you have healed yourself with Revitalize.
Along the way, you will need to stop and clear the next area until all enemies have been wiped out before proceeding towards the waypoint. (Including a Reformation Assault)
This also requires that you defeat a Singular Cyclops before destroying a Vex Cube to take out a barrier in the area, allowing you to proceed further.
As you make your way to the Exfiltration Flare, there will be dead members of Spider’s crew nearby, and you will need to interact with their bodies to examine them.
After examining the bodies, follow the tracks by making your way to the next waypoint and fighting your way through more combatants before you find a member of Spider’s crew.
Free the crew member by interacting with them and continue making your way to the next area, which will be the Piker Raider Pit.
Start by defeating the Piker Crew that appears in the area before collecting the “Illicit Cargo” in the area, which you must drop at the marked location.
You will need to bring 5 of these to the drop point, and carrying them will slow you down, making it a bit more difficult when enemies are attacking.
After moving a few of the cargo, enemies will spawn, and this includes an Imperium Dux who can’t be damaged with regular weapons.
Complete the task of moving all 5 of the Illicit Cargo, and a Renegade Ability Charge crate will appear, which will refill a spent charge of your equipped Renegade Abilities.
You will then need to use the Strafing Run ability, which will be able to damage the Imperium Dex, and afterward, it will be time to escape.
Head all the way back to the waypoint marking where extraction will take place and interact with the Flares marked by a waypoint.
After launching a flare, wait for the Exfil Hawk to appear, and once it arrives, climb aboard it to begin the extraction from the mission.
During this time, you will be able to use its weapon to fire at enemies until extraction takes place, which shortly takes you to the cargo bay.
It is here that you will be able to claim the rewards for a job well done, and shortly after, the mission will come to an end.
Welcome To The Frontier Mission Rewards
Completing the Welcome to the Frontier mission will allow you to progress further with the Renegade Quest, pushing you to the next quest step.
Rewards may vary at the end when you collect rewards, which will be similar to the new activity that was added in the update.

This mission serves as an introductory experience for the new Lawless Frontier activity, guiding you through its mechanics while emphasizing its role in the season’s unfolding progression flow.
Completing Welcome to the Frontier is required to progress the Renegades Introduction Quest, keeping your advancement aligned with the events surrounding Drifter and his damaged Ghost.
Now that you have assisted Spider with recovering his lost cargo, he is willing to provide the final component needed to repair Drifter’s Ghost.
