During Act II: Rites of the Deep quest, you are put up against different objectives and challenges, which includes the Trial of Will: Ambition.
This sets you on a path to head to the Shrine of Oryx, which is where you will fight your way through several enemies and put a stop to a ritual.
You will need to head to the moon and travel to the shrine to put a stop to what is being done there before you confront and imprison the Echo Oryx.
Where To Find Trial of Will: Ambition?
The Trial of Will: Ambition is found at the Shrine of Oryx, which you can reach easily by tracking the quest to make a waypoint visible.
Follow the waypoint to reach the Shrine of Oryx and upon entering, you may proceed with completing the trial.

How To Start Trial of Will: Ambition?
The Trial of Will: Ambition begins the moment you enter the Shrine of Oryx, putting you up against a Blistered Ogre that is altered by Servile Wizards.
The Blistered Ogre disappears and will reappear later as a Devoured Ogre but before you can defeat it, you must progress through the trial.
Following the objective that appears upon reaching the Shrine of Oryx will eventually help you complete the trial.
Trial of Will: Ambition Walkthrough
Start by fast traveling to the Moon and make sure you head to Sanctuary, where you will ride your vehicle to reach the Shrine of Oryx.
You can reach the Shrine of Oryx by following the waypoint if you have tracked the quest or simply make your way to Archer’s Line and take the first right turn.
Head into the Shrine of Oryx by proceeding through the Hall of Wisdom and you will encounter the Blistered Ogre and Servile Wizards.
The Blistered Ogre will disappear, and the Servile Wizards will be scattered around the area, which requires you to hunt each of them down.
Continue by making your way to each of the Servile Wizards and defeating them before heading to the location of the Devoured Ogre. (Previously the Blistered Ogre)
Fight your way through the rest of the enemies until you reach the Devoured Ogre and begin attacking it until it is weakened.
Once the Devoured Ogre is weakened, Eris Morn will tell you too that it is vulnerable, and this will be the time to perform a Finisher on it.
After performing a Finisher on the Devoured Ogre, a portal will open up and you may enter it to reach the Place of the Offering.
Once you are inside, there will be 4 objects binding the Devoured Ogre and you will need to destroy them before exiting through another portal.
Proceed by making your way through the area until you reach a large location where Taken Blight can be found.
Destroying the Taken Blight (Large Orbs) that are marked in the area will complete the trial and afterward, you may continue with Act II: Rites of the Deep quest.
Verdict
The Trial of Will: Ambition only becomes available once you reach Quest Step 11 as it is a requirement to progress with the Act II: Rites of the Deep quest.
Tracking the Rites of the Deep quest will make things much easier as you will be able to follow the waypoints to your objectives.
You will have to fight your way through several enemies, which makes it important to take cover when things start to get dicey.
