How To Get Echo Engrams in Destiny 2

The Final Shape has introduced the Echo Engram, which contains Episode: Echoes gear that has been added to the game.

These allow players to get new gear that they can use to defeat combatants and protect them from the dangers of the system.

Obtaining these engrams will be common throughout your time playing during The Final Shape update and some of you may want to farm more to get specific gear.

How To Get Echo Engrams?

Echo Engrams may be obtained as you play during The Final Shape update and may be randomly dropped during activities or obtained from chests.

Ranking up with Failsafe Reputation will allow you to receive certain Echo Engrams as Rank Rewards or as your rank increases.

The new activity called Breach Executable is one of the best ways for you to get Echo Engrams as the drop chance in the activity is higher than most.

Other activities have a chance to drop Echo Engrams too and these include Vanguard Playlists, Gambit Matches, and Crucible Matches.

After progressing with A Rising Chorus: Act 1, players will be able to deposit specimens at the H.E.L.M. and may obtain various rewards, including Echo Engrams.

Echo Engram Uses

Echo Engrams are used for Decoding, which can be done when you visit Failsafe aboard the H.E.L.M. after the Echoes Act 1: A Familiar Voice quest.

Echo Engrams can be focused into Echo Armor Engrams or Echo Weapon Engrams to give you a random gear based on what you focus the engrams into.

You may also use Echo Engrams to focus specific Echo Armor or Weapons that you have already unlocked, allowing you to get different rolls and stats.

Echo Engrams may also be used to obtain Reprisal Weapons, which are currently limited at this time but still worth using.

Verdict

Echo Engrams will often be obtained as you continue to play the game but focusing on the Breach Executable activity is a good way to get them faster.

Collecting these engrams to be used later is a good way to get the best rolls you want for certain Echo Weapons or Echo Armor.

The cost of Echo Engrams is higher for specific items rather than using them to get random gear, making it best to unlock everything and use your Echo Engrams later.
