The Traveler is heavily affected by The Witness and the Pale Heart is being eaten away with the infection that has been caused.
Micah-10 needs your help and wants you to handle a dangerous task for her that should be able to help the Traveler.
Not only will you be restoring the Pale Heart with your efforts, but you also get to take down combatants to reduce their ranks.
How To Get Convalescence: Greenery Quest?
Convalescence Greenery becomes available after you have completed the Convalescence Underbrush quest that also comes from Micah-10.
This continues the assistance that you provide to help the Arbor of Light as requested by the Legendary Guardian, Micah-10.
Convalescence: Greenery Quest Steps
Step 1: Open Overthrow chests in the Landing to gain access to the location Micah indicated
There are Overthrow Chests that can be opened after you complete activities in the different areas in the Pale Heart.
You will need to head to The Landing and do Overthrow Activities to get chests to appear, which you will need to open.

Step 2: Follow the vision of Light in the depths of the Pale Heart and fight the infection found there
Once you have collected from Overthrow Chests, you will need to head to the waypoint to find a cave within The Refraction.
A guide in the form of a crow will be there and you will need to follow it until you eventually reach the location where you will complete the Sword Dance Cyst.
This involves you picking up a Hive Relic (Sword) that you will use to progress within the cave and eventually defeat 3 bosses.

Step 3: Return to the Lost City’s Arbor of Light
Now that you have completed the Sword Dance Cyst, it’s time to head back to the Arbor of Light to check on things. (You can get there faster by selecting “Launch” when viewing the quest)
Upon reaching the Arbor of Light, head to the area marked by a waypoint and interact with it, which will allow you to restore the Lost Light.

Step 4: Investigate the new growth in the Arbor of Light
After restoring the Lost Light, head to the area marked by a waypoint where the Ghost is and interact with it.
You will notice that the Arbor of Light has slightly changed and there will appear to be more vegetation growing.

Step 5: Speak with Micah in the Arbor of Light to assess the injured Ghost’s recovery
Now that things have been wrapped up, you will need to go to Micah-10’s Conduit and speak with her to complete the quest.

Convalescence: Greenery Quest Rewards
Once you have completed the Convalescence Greenery quest, you will obtain the Embraced Identity Legendary Sniper Rifle.
This also allows you to accept the Convalescence: Budding quest, which allows you to obtain an even better reward, the Microcosm.
Summary
The infection caused by the Traveler has gotten quite the hold on the Pale Heart and it is good that Micah-10 sent you in deeper.
Using the relic provided, you were able to cut your way into the depths and dispose of the Hive enemies residing there.
The Arbor of Light seems to be brimming with more life now and with your continued efforts, things are bound to heal more than before.
