The Final Shape has introduced a series of missions that have the Vanguard making their attempt to reach The Traveler within The Pale Heart.
After keeping a portal open long enough for Crow to infiltrate it, the Guardian will now rush after to get to the other side as Operation Ahamkara is about to begin.
The Vanguard will now be making their attempt to get into The Pale Heart, where The Traveler will need to be saved from The Witness.
The Final Shape Campaign Missions
1) Transmigration (Mission 1)
Zavala has initiated Operation Ahamkara, which sets the Guardian to make their way through the threshold to reach the Traveler.
This involves passing through a portal that had been left behind by The Witness, which was held open and infiltrated by the Vanguard.
You will now make your way to the Pale Heart where Crow will be waiting for you as you find a way to stop The Witness.
2) Temptation (Mission 2)
Crow entered the portal on his own and for some reason, Cayde-6 reappeared after his life was previously lost.
After meeting Cayde-6, the two of you decide to find out what happened to Crow since they had already met before you arrived.
You will need to find Crow to make sure nothing bad happens since The Witness has been trying to win everyone over with temptation.
3) Exegesis (Mission 3)
Your allies have followed you into the Pale Heart and one of them is Ikora, whose location is currently still unknown.
Mara Sov has sent you a message and has given you instructions to head towards a site where a ship has crashed believing it may be Ikora’s.
You will need to go further into the Pale Heart to check if Ikora is at the crash site or to see where she has gone off to.
4) Requiem (Mission 4)
Most of your team has regrouped already but Zavala has not yet been found, which makes it necessary to find him before the Vanguard may continue.
Since his location is unknown, you will need to explore the Pale Heart until any clues are found to get you on the right track to finding him.
One of the main problems is that The Witness continues his attempts to tempt members of the Vanguard, which may affect Zavala.
5) Ascent (Mission 5)
Any icy wall that resembles the Cosmodrome Wall is blocking the Vanguard’s path, which leaves you and your allies to find a way to get past it.
You will need to journey with your allies through the wall and fight through enemies that get in your way to continue with your plans.
The Pale Heart has several enemies within it and making your way past the icy wall will prove to be a dangerous trip.
6) Dissent (Mission 6)
Something is bothering Zavala and even after your allies have tried to reach out to him, it seems he has made up his mind about something terrible.
Before Zavala can get into any trouble, you and your allies will need to find him or else The Witness may get to him first.
You will need to search for him and stop him from doing something he may regret or even cause his early demise.
7) Iconoclasm (Mission 7)
With your allies regrouped and everyone prepared, it’s time to face The Witness on his ground but challenges still lie ahead.
You and your allies will now make your way to The Witness for the final confrontation, but everyone will need to be ready.
This proves to be your first encounter with The Witness, which gives you a chance to free The Traveler from the infection that he has left in the Pale Heart.
The Final Shape Legendary Missions
Legendary Missions are an option in Destiny 2’s The Final Shape, which allows you to obtain better rewards for completing the campaign.
Additional modifiers will affect the missions that you partake in but the loot that you get during these missions will provide you with a way to increase your power level further.
It is advised that you team up with other Guardians when you do Legendary Missions as this can ensure victory as even teams may have difficulty in them.
The Final Shape Legendary Rewards
Completing the final shape campaign on Legendary difficulty offers different rewards, which include a set of gear that is capped at 1960, which is a good boost for your Power Level.
An emblem to show your victory will also be rewarded and this is the Victorious Oddment Emblem, a token of how you have mastered the campaign.
Finally, each class has access to a specific reward as these new Exotic Class Items are given depending on what character you are using.
The following are the Exotic Class Items you may receive:
- Warlock – Mataiodoxia or Speaker’s Sight
- Titans – Wishful Ignorance or Hazardous Propulsion
- Hunters – Balance of Power or Gifted Conviction
Verdict
Destiny 2 always offers Guardians a new challenge and one of these will always be doing campaigns on higher difficulties.
The higher difficulties will often require that you have a higher power level, which makes it necessary to delve into different activities.
Some items such as the Class Items introduced in The Final Shape are currently only available through completing The Final Shape campaign in Legendary difficulty.
