How to Start Fang and Flame?

Travel to the Forsaken Ascent in the Dry Steppes and follow the quest marker to the area where Abodian’s presence has been detected.
You can complete this assignment before or after The Insatiable Hunter and Belly of the Beast, as the three demon-binding quests can be completed in any order.
Fang and Flame Quest Walkthrough
Head to the marked area in the Forsaken Ascent and search for Hattar, who will direct you toward the Heart of Malice needed to reach Abodian.
Travel west of Hattar’s location and defeat the Fiend of Malice to obtain the Heart of Malice, then return to the ritual site with the item.
Use the Heart of Malice to open the demonic portal and enter the dungeon, where you will need to fight through several groups of enemies.
Continue exploring until you reach the final chamber, then interact with the altar to summon Abodian, the Hellhound you have been sent to capture.
During the encounter, keep moving to avoid Abodian’s fire-based attacks and reposition whenever it leaps toward you or unleashes explosions.
Once Abodian has been defeated, interact with the Altar of Demonic Binding to bind the Hellhound and complete Fang and Flame.
What to Do if the Heart of Malice Is Missing?
The Heart of Malice objective can sometimes fail to appear correctly, leaving you searching the marked area without finding the enemy or item required to continue.
If this happens, try leaving the area and returning after the enemies respawn, then search around the lava near the upper portion of the quest area.
You can also try logging out and back in, changing the difficulty, or temporarily disabling cross-platform play, although these workarounds are not guaranteed to resolve the issue.
Fang and Flame Quest Rewards
Completing Fang and Flame allows you to bind Abodian, adding another captured demon to the collection required for your Warlock training.
Once you have completed Fang and Flame, The Insatiable Hunter, and Belly of the Beast, you can continue to the final quest, Warlock: Culmination of Ambition.
Finishing the full class questline unlocks the Warlock’s Soul Shard system, allowing you to equip bound demons and gain additional abilities for your build.
