To challenge Panthalus, you first need to complete Hope Springs Eternal, which removes the barrier blocking the boss tower and unlocks The Sunreacher.
During The Sunreacher, you will remain in Sunreach and face Auri and Shaolong, with their defeat allowing you to progress to The Calamity.
During The Calamity, you will speak with Auri, who reveals more about Panthalus and directs you toward the Deserted Islet for the next part of the story.
The following Panthalus quest sends you to the Ancient Civilization Researcher, who explains that you must collect four Echobones scattered across Palpagos.
Once you have collected the Echobones, you can obtain and craft the Echoing Flute, which is used at the Deserted Islet to challenge Panthalus.
After defeating Panthalus, you can complete the quest and continue the story with To the World Tree, allowing you to progress toward the previously inaccessible World Tree region.
How to Summon Panthalus?
The Ancient Civilization Researcher will send you to collect four Echobones found at the remains of ancient whales scattered across Palpagos.
Once all four Echobones have been collected, return to the researcher and obtain the recipe needed to craft the Echoing Flute.
After crafting the flute, return to the Deserted Islet and use it at the designated location to call Panthalus and begin the battle.

How To Capture Panthalus?
