The journey through Sunreach eventually leads you toward another tower, but a massive tornado currently stands between you and the Azure Covenant Tower.
During Hope Springs Eternal, you discover that the barrier is being powered by six scattered sources, forcing you to travel across the surrounding islands and shut them down.
Each source requires you to reach its location and interact with it, though the journey can involve enemies, difficult terrain, and some sources being tucked inside structures.
How To Shut Down Barrier Power Sources?
Once the objective appears, the six power sources will be marked across the Sunreach Islands, allowing you to tackle them in whichever order you prefer.
Travel to each marked location and interact with the power source to deactivate it, then move on to the next marker.
Some sources are sitting in relatively exposed areas, while others can have enemies or structures around them that make reaching the console more troublesome.
You do not need to complete them in a specific order, so using a flying mount and clearing whichever locations are most convenient can make the process easier.
All Barrier Power Source Locations
The six power sources are scattered across different Sunreach islands, with each one marked at the following coordinates:
- -231, -1469 (Enchanted Firmament)
- -259, -1398 (Azure Woodland)
- -437, -1522 (Crystalline Archipelago)
- -474, -1347 (The Azure Tapestry)
- -578, -1501 (Waterlily Gorge)
- -550, -1324 (Dragonmark Peak)
What To Do Next?
After all six power sources have been deactivated, the tornado barrier surrounding the tower will finally disappear, opening the way toward the Azure Covenant Tower
Return to the Sunreach citizen who gave you the Hope Springs Eternal objective and report your progress before continuing with the quest.
Your next objective will send you toward the Azure Covenant Tower, where you will face Auri & Shaolong, the Dragon and Water tower boss waiting at the end of this Sunreach questline.
Verdict
Hope Springs Eternal turns reaching the Sunreach tower into a proper island hopping objective instead of simply walking straight toward the next boss.
The six power sources are spread far enough apart that having a reliable flying mount makes the whole process considerably less annoying.
Once the final source goes down and the tornado clears, you are finally free to head for the tower and see what Auri and Shaolong have waiting.
