With the Writhing Hatred now slain, Lorath and Tharra join up with you, but it appears that a lot has already happened, including a ritual.
It turns out there was a slaughter for a ritual sacrifice that took place in the temple, and judging by the signs of the Hands of Akarat, it is obviously part of Mephisto’s plan.
Lorath and Tharra have rejoined you, which now continues the search for the blade needed to banish Mephisto.
How To Get Those Who Remain Quest?
Those Who Remain is a quest that becomes available after the completion of the Seed of Hatred quest, which involves killing the Writhing Hatred.
The Writhing Hatred appeared in the temple and was connected to several sacrifices, but with your efforts, the creature is now out of the picture.
Those Who Remain Walkthrough
Thanks to your efforts, the corruption and brambles are now gone, but there is more to do from this point on, starting with you interacting with the Bloody Summoning Circle.
Interacting with this causes dialogue to begin with Tharra, and afterward, you need to speak with her before starting your search for survivors.
Head to the marked area, and there will be a path you can duck through before reaching a door, which you will now interact with.
The door is open from the inside, and you find the survivors who were able to escape from the chaos, and now you must speak with Archivist Linos.
He tells you about what went on, and in order to proceed, you need to find a key that will allow you to enter the Archives.
Speak with Lorath before following Archivist Linos, who will be near a pile of bodies, and near them will be the Curator’s Corpse.
Interact with the corpse to get the Archive Keys and proceed with making your way to the door to open it, which will end the quest.
Those Who Remain Quest Rewards
After opening the way to the Archives, Those Who Remain will be complete, and a new quest called A Blade’s Weight will begin.
