Diablo 4: The Horadrim’s Fate Quest Walkthrough

After your first encounter with Deckard Cain, he asks you to meet him at the Imperial Library to continue investigating the strange events occurring around Sanctuary.

This introduces you to Waking Nightmares, which allow you to experience reenactments of important events that occurred throughout Diablo’s history.

The Horadrim’s Fate takes you through your first Waking Nightmare, where you revisit the Worldstone Keep and eventually face the Echo of Baal.

How To Get The Horadrim’s Fate Quest?

The Horadrim’s Fate becomes available after completing Refuge From The Memories, which serves as the first quest in the Season 15 storyline.

Make your way to the Imperial Library in Caldeum, Kehjistan, with the nearby Waypoint providing the quickest way to reach the area.

Once you arrive, head inside and speak with Deckard Cain to begin the quest.

The Horadrim’s Fate Walkthrough

Speak with Deckard Cain inside the Imperial Library, where you will be introduced to Waking Nightmares before being sent to find Tal Rasha.

Make your way to the Fractured Peaks and follow the quest marker until you reach Tal Rasha, Wanderer of Destruction.

Approaching Tal Rasha causes him to attack, so you will need to fight him before you can continue with the quest.

Tal Rasha uses several attacks during the fight and will summon enemies such as Unravellers and Embalmed to assist him.

Continue attacking Tal Rasha until his health has been depleted, after which he will reappear nearby without being hostile.

Speak with Tal Rasha and a Waking Nightmare connected to him will appear nearby, allowing you to enter it.

Enter the Diablo II – Worldstone Keep Waking Nightmare and begin making your way from the Ancients’ Way toward Arreat Summit.

Continue following the path until you reach the summit and interact with the Altar of the Heavens to begin the next encounter.

Korlic, Talic, and Madawc will come to life, and you will need to defeat all three Ancients before the path forward becomes available.

Once the Ancients have been defeated, make your way toward the Worldstone Keep and enter the dungeon to continue the Waking Nightmare.

Fight through the enemies inside while following the route deeper into the keep until you eventually reach the Throne of Destruction.

Several enemies will begin appearing here while Baal attacks you from a distance, but he remains invulnerable during this part of the encounter.

Defeat the enemies within the Throne of Destruction until Baal escapes, then continue through the dungeon and make your way toward the Worldstone.

The Echo of Baal will appear once you reach the final area, allowing you to damage him and begin the main boss fight.

Watch out for his appendage attacks and the additional appendages he summons, along with a duplicate of himself that can appear during the battle.

Keep attacking the Echo of Baal while avoiding these attacks until you fully deplete his health and defeat him.

After defeating the Echo of Baal, Tal Rasha will appear nearby and you will need to speak with him to continue.

Pick up the Splinter of Destruction that is left behind afterward, which completes The Horadrim’s Fate and opens a portal nearby.

You can use this portal to return to the Imperial Library, where you will need to meet with Deckard Cain for the next Seasonal Quest.

The Horadrim’s Fate Quest Rewards

Completing The Horadrim’s Fate rewards you with XP and Gold, with the amount received depending on your character’s current level.

The Burning Shepherd becomes available afterward, allowing you to continue the Season 15 storyline once you return to the Imperial Library.

Verdict

The Horadrim’s Fate provides our first look at Waking Nightmares while recreating the journey through Arreat Summit and the Worldstone Keep from Diablo II.

Facing the Ancients and Echo of Baal makes this first Waking Nightmare a lengthy introduction to one of Season 15’s main features.

With the Splinter of Destruction now recovered, we can return to Deckard Cain and find out where The Burning Shepherd takes us next.
