Diablo 4 has a lot of features and unique perks when it comes to the different characters that you have, and the Necromancer is well-known for summoning the undead.
One of the features the Necromancer has is summoning a Skeletal Priest and if you are unsure what it does at this moment, you aren’t alone.
The Skeletal Priest is often summoned automatically and acts to replenish the health of your Skeletal Minions and provide them with a temporary damage boost.
How To Summon A Skeletal Priest?
Regardless of the maximum number of Skeletons that you can summon (You start with 4), you will always summon a Skeletal Priest once you have maximum summons.
This means that whenever you have summoned all your Skeletal Minions, any time you use Raise Skeleton afterward will summon a Skeletal Priest.
The Skeletal Priest will appear briefly to heal your Skeletal Minions nearby as well as grant them the bonus damage buff.
What Do Skeletal Priests Do?
Skeletal Priests act as a support for your Skeletal Minions and will only appear for a short duration to unleash a wave that expands outward to provide its effects.
Increase Skeleton Minion Damage
Once affected by the Skeletal Priest’s buff, all your Skeletal Minions will have 30% increased damage for 8 seconds.
You can use this to continuously buff your Skeletal Minions so that they deal more damage to enemies that they are attacking.
Heal Skeletal Minions
Skeletal Minions who are affected by the wave released by the Skeletal Priest will have their health replenished by 40% each time you summon it.
This acts as a way for you to heal your whole army of Skeletal Minions during a fight and can be a good way to keep their numbers up as you fight your enemies.
Skeletal Priest Aspects
Skeletal Priests are not just limited to the Raise Skeleton ability, there are 2 aspects that you may equip to further improve their effects.
1) Aphotic Aspect
Skeletal Priests empower your Skeletal Warriors’ attacks to deal Shadow damage and have a [5% ~ 25%] chance to Stun enemies for 1.5 seconds.
This provides your Skeletal Minions with more damage and is a good way to have crowd control when in a battle.
2) Blood Getter’s Aspect
Your Skeletal Priests now also empower you at [55% ~ 75%] effectiveness. (You will also gain the effects from the wave)
This works well when it comes to fighting alongside your Skeletal Minions since you will also gain a boost when it comes to damage.
Verdict
While not much needs to be done when it comes to Skeletal Priests, Necromancers will often summon them from time to time without even noticing.
Casting Raise Skeleton often is a good way to ensure that your Skeleton Minions will replenish their help, and you won’t have to worry about accidentally removing them during a fight.
Making use of the Skeletal Priest Aspects is optional and depending on your build, some of them can give you an advantage against enemies that are difficult to kill.
