Barbarians are capable of unleashing powerful attacks and one of these is the Hammer of the Ancients, which deals damage to an area in front of you.
This can be improved even further by using the Aspect of the Ancestral Force for imprinting one of your equipped items.
The aspect of the Ancestral Force causes the Hammer of the Ancients Skill to cause a quake that deals additional damage going outwards.

While Hammer of the Ancients already deals damage in an area in front of you, this creates an additional source of damage based on a percentage of the damage of the skill.
This allows you to not only deal an amount of damage from the attack but multiple enemies may also be damaged around you.
Aspect of Ancestral Force Location
The Aspect of Ancestral Force can be unlocked by completing the Sunken Ruins Dungeon, which can be found in Northshore to the north of Braestaig. (Scosglen)
How To Get Aspect of Ancestral Force? (Sunken Ruins Walkthrough)
1) Return the Stone Carving to the Pedestal
Upon entering the Sunken Ruins, you will start in the Sodden Crypt, which is where there will be 2 Stone Carvings that need to be found and brought back to their Pedestals.
2) Travel to the Waterlogged Depths
After returning both Stone Carvings, a barrier nearby will be dispelled, and you can proceed with making your way to the Waterlogged Depths.
3) Destroy the Skeletal Constructs
In the Waterlogged Depths, you will find that there are 3 Skeletal Constructs (Elite) that need to be destroyed before you can continue.
4) Slay Tomas
After all the Skeletal Constructs have been destroyed, an enemy named Tomas (Hateful Wraith) will appear and you will need to defeat him to complete the dungeon.
Verdict
Hammer of the Ancients is a powerful attack that can deal a lot of damage and thanks to the Aspect of Ancestral Force, it becomes far more effective.
The Hammer of the Ancients Skill lacks the ability to deal damages around you but the Aspect of Ancestral Force fixes this.
This provides Barbarians with a cleaving effect that makes it easier to take out groups of enemies, which can speed up your runs.
