Solstice is a seasonal event in Destiny 2 that celebrates progress and brings a new way to earn gear, cosmetics, and event currency.
You will need to visit Eva Levante in the Tower to start the event and begin earning Solstice Alloy through various activities.
This guide will cover everything you need to know about Solstice, including the Solstice Forge, challenges, armor upgrades, and rewards.
Daily and Weekly Challenges
During the duration of the event, you will be able to do daily and weekly challenges, which will reward you with Event Tokens and Event XP.
Event Tokens are used to make purchases from the Reward Shop available during the Solstice 2025 event, while Event XP increases your Event Rank.
As your Event Rank increases, you will be able to claim rewards based on which rank you have currently reached.
Solstice Scorched Activity
The Solstice Scorched activity is available during the Solstice Event, which is a Crucible Match that pits Guardians against each other with a twist.
All Guardians are equipped with Scorch Cannons in Clash, Control, or Rift matches and may use them to obliterate each other to fight for the win.
Rewards from this activity include Distorted Solstice Engrams, which are used to Focus equipment from the Solstice Event.
Additional rewards from the Solstice Scorched activity include the Faustus Decline, a Legendary Sidearm that possesses the Bray Energy origin trait.
Solstice Reward Shop
The Solstice Reward Shop includes various items that can be purchased using Event Tokens as well as Silver for Reroll Chips.
The following are available for purchase at the Solstice Reward Shop:
- 3 Reroll Chips – 200 Silver
- 1 Reroll Chip – 100 Silver
- 1 Ascendant Shard – 300 Event Tokens
- 1 Exotic Cipher – 300 Event Tokens
- Fortunate Star (Legendary Combat Bow) – 100 Event Tokens
- Yeartide Apex (Legendary Submachine Gun) – 100 Event Tokens
- Festival Flight (Legendary Grenade Launcher) – 100 Event Tokens
- 1 Solstice Weapon Engram – 75 Event Tokens
- 1 Solstice Armor Engram – 60 Event Tokens
- 1 Ascendant Alloy – 60 Event Tokens
- 1 Enhancement Prism – 75 Event Tokens
- 5 Enhancement Core – 35 Event Tokens
- Large Pile of Glimmer (25,000) – 25 Event Tokens
- Pile of Glimmer (5,000) – 5 Event Tokens
- Glimmer (1,000) – 1 Event Token
Solstice Flamekeeper Title
Completing Event Triumphs available during the Solstice Event will allow you to claim the Flamekeeper title, which can later be equipped for other Guardians to see.
This requires that you complete the following 8 Event Triumphs:
- Like A Phoenix – Unlock your first piece of Solstice armor during the “Celebrating Solstice” quest.
- Forged In Sunlight – Unlock all 5 of the Lustrous armors for your class.
- Knight Of The Solstice – Reach Event Rank 15.
- Solstice With Yourself – Complete 7 Solo Ops activities with any Solstice modifier active.
- Solstice Vacation – Complete 7 Fireteam Ops or Pinnacle Ops activities with any Solstice modifier active.
- Heat Of The Crucible – Complete 7 Solstice Scorched activities in the Crucible Ops playlist.
- Around The Sun – Complete activities with unique solstice modifiers active.
- Beneath The Sun – Achieve at least a B grade performance in any Portal activity with at least one Solstice modifier active.
Solstice Forge
The Solstice Forge allows you to make use of the Solstice Alloy that you have obtained from doing activities while the event is ongoing.
You may access the Solstice Forge from the Solstice Event overview, which can be accessed from the Portal menu or by speaking to Eva Levante.
Once the Solstice Forge menu is open, you may use Solstice Alloy to craft the following:
- Lustrous Helmet
- Lustrous Gauntlets
- Lustrous Chest Armor
- Lustrous Leg Armor
- Lustrous Class Item
Each of the items that may be focused on will require 100 Solstice Alloy.
Verdict
Some Guardians may not be able to use Solstice Alloy unless they accept the Celebrating Solstice quest from Eva Levante at the Tower.
Grinding activities during the Solstice Event will allow you to increase your Event Rank and obtain Solstice Alloy, making it easy to farm what you need during the event.
This event will only last for a certain period of time, making it important to obtain the items you want before it ends, as this event only comes once a year.
