Destiny 2: Ash & Iron New Armor Sets

The Ash & Iron update introduces two new armor sets, giving Guardians new options when it comes to how they intend to fight through various PVE or PVP activities.

Obtaining these sets can help you out, depending on your playstyle, whether you plan on combining sets with others or using a full set to your advantage.

Whether you are tackling tough enemies solo or coordinating in team content, these armor sets are worth checking out after the recent major update.

New Armor Sets in Ash & Iron

1) Smoke Jumper Armor Set

The Smoke Jumper set is built for PVE, letting you survive tough fights while making the most of every Orb of Power you grab.

  • 2-Piece Bonus: Ride Together, Die Together – When you pick up an Orb of Power, gain a brief period of rapidly decaying damage reduction.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Too Old For This – Defeating a powerful combatant with a finisher grants you Special ammo progress and replenishes a small amount of health.

2) Disastrous Corps Armor Set

The Disastrous Corps set works well in both PVE and PVP, giving bonuses that boost survivability and weapon performance in combat.

  • 2-Piece Bonus: Pleas Heard – Reloading an Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle, or Sidearm after a final blow slowly restores health until you reenter combat.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Magnificent Duty – When you reach critical health or heal an ally at critical health, Auto Rifles, Scout Rifles, and Sidearms gain a period of increased range, stability, and reload speed.

How To Get the New Armor Sets?

Smoke Jumper is earned by completing the Reclaim activity, a 3-player co-op PVE mission in Ash & Iron, where you push forward and survive waves of enemies.

Disastrous Corps is obtained from the free Reward Pass and is also supposedly a drop from completing competitive activities.

Participating in these activities and completing their objectives will let you collect both sets and unlock all bonuses.

Verdict

Smoke Jumper offers perks that make fights smoother and give more value from every Orb of Power picked up.

Disastrous Corps enhances weapon performance and survivability, making it useful in intense PVP matches.

Both sets provide meaningful bonuses that let Guardians adjust their playstyle and get an edge in their preferred activities.
