The Insatiable Hunter is one of three Warlock class quests unlocked after completing Disciple of the Forbidden and receiving your first Binding Stone from Hattar.
This quest takes you into the Blistered Barrens of the Dry Steppes, where you must investigate the Halls of the Devoured and locate a powerful demon.
Your objective is to hunt down Laalish, defeat it, and complete the binding ritual as part of your training in the forbidden arts.
How to Start The Insatiable Hunter?
To unlock The Insatiable Hunter, you must first complete Warlock: Disciple of the Forbidden, which introduces Hattar and the demon-binding rituals.
Once you have collected the Binding Stone, three new class quests become available, including The Insatiable Hunter, Belly of the Beast, and Fang and Flame.
Track The Insatiable Hunter and travel to the marked location in the Blistered Barrens of the Dry Steppes, where you will begin your search for Laalish.
The Insatiable Hunter Quest Walkthrough
Head toward the marked location in the Blistered Barrens, where you will encounter several cultists guarding the entrance to the Halls of the Devoured.
Defeat the cultists gathered outside the sealed entrance to make Hattar appear, then speak with him before entering the Halls of the Devoured.
Once inside, explore the dungeon and defeat the Sorcerer Husks scattered throughout its chambers, clearing the way toward the device sealing Laalish’s lair.
After eliminating the required enemies, locate and interact with the Unsealing Device to open the passage leading deeper into the dungeon.
Continue through the newly opened passage until you reach Laalish’s lair, where you will find a Possessed Abyssal Sorcerer waiting inside.
Interact with the possessed sorcerer to draw out Laalish, then defeat the demon while avoiding its attacks throughout the encounter.
After defeating Laalish, interact with the Altar of Demonic Binding to bind the demon and complete The Insatiable Hunter.
The Insatiable Hunter Quest Rewards
Completing The Insatiable Hunter allows you to bind Laalish, bringing you another step closer to completing Hattar’s assignment and unlocking the Warlock’s Soul Shard system.
You will still need to complete the other two demon-binding quests, Belly of the Beast and Fang and Flame, before continuing to the final part of the Warlock class questline.
Finishing the entire questline unlocks Soul Shards, allowing you to equip bound demons and gain additional abilities for your Warlock build.
Verdict
The Insatiable Hunter sends you into the Halls of the Devoured to locate and bind Laalish, one of the demons required to complete your Warlock training.
Most of the quest involves clearing the dungeon, defeating Sorcerer Husks, and activating the device that opens the way to the final encounter.
Once Laalish has been defeated and bound, you can continue hunting the remaining demons before returning to Hattar to complete your training.
